Geez Lou, three extra trophies, you're really going all out. It's going to be an awesome Birthday Shoot. So are those extra trophies you got just for the forum members the "loot bag". I was just wondering, what does one get a 40 yr. old birthday boy? :)

BB , CB ..Congrats .... good shooting . What was the turn out for this shoot ? The weather was sure right for it ! How many shooters are you expecting next weekend for the BB 40th shoot? The turnout wasn't bad at all, I figure about 60 shooters in all. Next week according to BB there'll be about 10...

Friends, Romans and Mikey, lend me your ears, I am here to paraphrase not settle a feud. What is in a name? According to Will, a rose by any other name smells just as sweet. Besides, the quality of mercy is not strained, it falleth from the sky like a gently rain, so let it be with R.J. Whether it's...

At the Wolf Den's 3D shoot today, one of the guys said that there's new Sims Limb Savers for Crossbows. According to him, they are installed by removing the string and sliding them up the limbs, and restringing. He said that they do reduce noise, with negligable loss of speed.

Thanks guys, but I still can't believe it. You know what they say, it's better to be lucky, than good. The truth is I hadn't shot 3D since last year, I didn't even know if my scope was setup right. So my intention was, not to embrass myself next week at BigBear's shoot, that I better go sight it in ...

I've personally have left the pads on for the time it takes to change strings with no damage. However, the pads should be removed prior to unstringing your bow for any length of time, otherwise the pads will definitely be damaged. The longer they're compressed the more damage. The question is if 10 ...

Shooting a .22cal into a woodpile is one thing, however shooting it into the air without a suitable backstop is dangerous. I hunt squirrel and shoot them while they are in trees, other than more trees there isn't much of a backstop while hunting squirrel. Chris, you're absolutely correct, alot of h...

Grey Owl, all I have to say is WOW. I neither expected, nor was it necessary for you to explain or justify your or Little Owl's actions, From all your previous posts, it would appear that you are a decent fellow, and I don't doubt for a minute that you're a great dad too. Having said that I'm glad y...

RichardS, you're correct on both counts;the YHMS is a great target and not for broadheads. However, if my memory serves me, I believe Bill T. also has the block foam target suitable for broadheads. I personally never owned or used one, but from what I heard, like all the other products Excalibur mak...

Sounds like you had some good quality time with Little Owl. It's great to hear that your son enjoys the outdoors and makes the effort to practice and sharpen up his markmanship skills. I'm sure you'd like Little Owl to grow up into a responsible, safe and ethical hunter. That is why a couple things ...
