This is exactly why I hunt and hate coyotes. Actually, I respect the hell out of them. Probably the smartest predator there is and can be a challenge to nail. I do well with bait. It was wonderful when everyone was deer hunting and they would drop o their pails of guts. I also use a call which is ve...

LOL I got so many animals that only one of us can leave at a time... I just act like it is such a bummer and it makes her feel lots better about staying home. I did take her to Florida for 5 days a week or so ago so that should do it for this year.

Re: O/T The Liberals Will Take Your Semiauto's

I did not make this post - I do not know who has hacked into the system but it sure is upsetting. About ready to dump out if hacking is present on here. I'll change my password and see what happens.

My bank account...

Is gone now that I got my new Cannon S3. This a pix of one stack of wood which will keep me warm all winter even though I'm broke now. I have two other stacks: One bigger and one smaller. This is mainly maple that I use for daywood since it doesn't last all night. I also have red and white oak, locu...

R.J. Well I lost control and bought a Cannon S3 from Broadway Camera... Man those people are good salespersons... I ended up getting the ni-cads, a charger, the ring mount for lens, an ultraviolet filter, 2gb card and a 4 year warrantee plus the S3 all for $509 which wasn't too bad but I hadn't plan...

Allan, Yes I love it! It is supposed to drop down to 10F tomorrow night and I am actually looking forward to it! I like it when I can really stoke my airtight up full. I keep it between 76 and 82 in here and just love being warm. Beware however, a guy can get this "stoveitis" disease where...

Cool Buck! I've also been thinking of going out for a late season hunt. Did you get the buck in Wayne National Forest? It is so cool there - you can go back in twenty miles and never see another person. I coyote hunt back in there on occasion and I swear the game is not as afraid of humans as it is ...

Any other woodburners out there?

I must admit, one of my favorite things about winter is stoking my woodstove. For years and years I was always cold in my house while listening to my forced air furnace suck up gas all night long. Last year, I installed a woodstove (Earth Stove with thermostat damper) and this house has been so comf...

bstout I was a tenant farmer in Iowa when going to undergraduate college and we had two AC WD's. It got 25 below quite frequently there and the WD was the only tractor that would start. We'd get it running and use it to pull a 9N and an International that we used to do chores. One morning I was out ...

Saxman I know what you are saying... I was at Orlando last week. On Tuesday I spent the day at the pool reading a Jeff Cooper book and got a hell of a sunburn. It was 82 and sunny. We came back on Wednesday to 25F and clear. What a shock! I'm addicted - will return to Fla in mid-march for another li...

Same here... About two inches and now it is lightly raining. Oh boy this could get nasty if it freezes down tonight. Hey DW I used to live in Sykesville, MD and then moved to Mt. Airy... It was great quail hunting as I remember it. I lived on a 275 acre farm that was all growed up and the fence rows...

He referred to poachers many times which was code for hunters. He disliked hunters.
