Lone Wolf treestand ?

I'm considering a new climbing treestand and want to know if anyone has tried the lone wolf sit and climb with the sling style seat. It looks like it would be easy to setup on the tree. My current climber is a pain to put on the tree but it is comfortable and secure, but it is heavy and noisy (treel...

Re: You folks from Ohio.....

I don't use any outfitters but I know the area pretty good. I would check into how much of the land is private and how much is conservancy. The conservancy land gets over hunted during the gun season. I think I will call them and see if I can stop by for a personal visit I will let you know what I t...

Re: H&R ultra slug gun users

I'm on the second year with my H&R 20. I use the Hornady sst. I shot a doe last year at 150 yards she dropped on impact. This year I got one at 40 yards same results. I hope for more luck this weekend.

Taking the son hunting

My favorite week end is just around the corner. The ohio youth gun hunt starts this Saturday. I'm taking my 16 year old son, I'm hoping he can get his first deer. He has too many school activities to enjoy any of the bow season, so this is our weekend. I won't take him to my favorite spot because ot...

Everytime I'm at the spoting goods store I look at this tool and shake my head thinking no way this could work as advertised. Just another way to reduce the wieght in my back pocket.
Now it sounds like I might need to give it a try at $10 US why not try.
Now which hole do I put it in?

At 20-30 yards with out any silencers the arrow will hit the deer before it can react. All they are good for is looks and they make your wallet fit in your pockets better.

I make one every year. If you like corned beef you will love the venison. If you are planning to eat it right aftre the curing process you can reduce the salt.

You got me thinking. I have an old pendulum sight and a spare cross bow I might do some tinkering. I used them in the past on my compound and loved the pendulum sights. A custom mounting bracket and it might work it is worth a try.

I currently have three climbers. 1 summit cobra easy to set up light and comfotable I did have it slip in the tree once probably the wrong type of tree. It was the foot platform that slipped as I was putting the cinch strap on the seat part. Thankful for the full body harness. 2 is an old Loggy bayo...

I have that red dot on the Horton that I handed down to my son. The 1moa was great for me and the single red dot was the feature that made me buy it, the multidot seemed for me to be to crowded in the small window.
