Grizzly, I'm curious what makes you think he would have always been a spike?
Also, how did you tell that it was probably a three year old?
Thanks,
Tim

Slcik trick availability
I get my slicktricks from BJ. I just ordered some yesterday, so he probably still has some. He did say that he was temporarily out of the replacement blades.

I'd say some of them are more interested in the actual purpose of the forum than some posters that have 1000 posts of nonsense. They waste my time more weeding thru the nonsense than the inactive members on the memberlist. As far as the links in the memberlist. Don't go there, don't click. Problem s...

I don't understand what being a member and not posting has to do with the trolls and spam. I've never seen and have no idea what this cluttered memberlist is and how it affects the forum. Its never affected me, I've never seen it. The only trolls and spam I've seen are the ones who became members an...

salt
People don't use salt to tenderize. Salt is used to draw the blood out of the meat, which as someone mentioned earlier, is where some of the 'gamey' taste comes from.

The salt is good for drawing blood out of the meat. Soaking in water is generally not considered a good idea as it will toughen meat. I generally put my meat in closed draining pans in a refrigerator or cooler with salt sprinkled liberally over each layer as I put it in the container. But each to hi...

This last Friday evening, I shot a buck with my Exocet with just a few minutes of shooting light left (which btw confirmed to me again the worth of the Varizone over the peep sights. With the Varizone there was no question there was enough light to shoot, with the peeps it would have been very margi...

Moultrie rechargeable battery
I am using the 6volt rechargeable battery in the Moultrie 100 digital camera. I just had to recharge it for the first time. It lasted a little over 3 weeks with about 80 pictures taken, 2/3rds at night with the flash.

Walmart Moultrie digital
I just bought one the $99 Moultrie digitals at WalMart and had it out for the first time last week. I guess I had the opposite experience of GaryL. I put it on the same tree, facing the same direction (a mineral lick) as a $59 Stealth Cam 35mm I had had there all summer and got very few decent pics ...

Delta 3D target
I have used a Delta Riverbottom buck for 2 years now and am very satisfied for the price. I bought it at Walmart for $59.99. I also use a block target so its not the only thing getting shot at. It stands up very well to the bolts from my 175# Exocet. The replacement vitals are $20 For practice with ...

bragging
Boltshooter, I think if you wanted to learn what the effective ethical range for hunting with a crossbow was, you should have asked that question. It was the asking for people to brag about their longest shots that maybe provoked a response you weren't looking for. Sorry, if you were offended. But I...
