Yup, a couple years ago they put a ban on shooting white colored moose. If I remember correctly the biologist claim that it is a sub species varient...I am not a geneticist, but I don't buy it...In fact, I think their white coloration is a weakness that leaves them succeptable to predation. Anyhew, ...

Let us know how it goes. He has to be down. If you cant find him, I might be able to squeeze out to help after work.

It may be the closest I get to a buck this year :-)

OK...so I spent the last 3 days in 82A. 6 hunts in total...I hunted 4 different setups...swamps, fields, hardwoods...there is very little buck activity. In fact, I only saw 2 scraps. In 3 days I saw 2 does and 2 fawns. Very very slow for this area. Normally I have had the opportunity to fill at leas...

Wow

I havent ever seen a buck that large in Southern Ontario

Interesting how the minor feed is from around 8:50-10:50 in the Orillia area. Maybe there is something to this moon transit thing...

.settled the cross hair on the shoulder and shot...bolt sailed right over its back! My guess, and it's just that, is you got 'string jumped.' Actually, 'string ducked' is more like it. My experiences have led me to believe that from 10-20 yds, there's about 2" diff in poi, well w/in 'minute of...

Farthest for me was 40 on a deer. I regularly practice out to 70 on a bag for something to do...

I think I could *technically* make a 70 yard shot on a deer under perfect conditions, however I won't risk wounding an animal.

What a beautiful buck

Congrats on the buck and the hard work. Only thing I don't understand is how your ATV couldnt pull him out.

I havent had a deer or Moose I couldnt pull out of the bush or swamp with my Foreman.

Cheers,

Actually - High fever, runny (pouring at times) nose, cough till you ribs ache, sweats/chills, and aching joints. No upset stomach, but no appetite either.   That's going around here too. Tim and Ben are at 3 weeks, I'm at 2 weeks. Pretty much knocks the stuffing out of you. Really ...

Ok...so it is 3 hours up to the moon transit time Using the 6:50 am example...major feed is about 4:50 am-6:50 am 6 hours after the moon transit time is a minor feeding...in this case 10:50 am- 12:50 pm but then what? Is the next major feed 6 hours after? i.e. 6:50 pm is the next major feed period.....

Re: Goose Season Prep

Not sure how many others are into waterfowl but it bridges the gap for me between turkey season and deer. I hit my kayak with a fresh coat of paint (it was red before) and just getting all my decoys rigged up and ready for this season. 7 days left now, not that I am counting. Adam What type of pain...

Re: Ml'er guys(new white hot pellets)

has anyone seen these new pellets.. everyone raving over them now.. it seems to be the best thing out since BH209 which I stopped using. I loved the groups, but one misfire killed that powder for me. I may try some of these pellets but they arent cheap... cleaning is supposed to be much easier than...
