Re: traintohunt

Being 65 and retired for a year, last years rifle hunt near killed me. I still like to dog but it just about did me in because of my physical condition. The weather hear is getting better now so I decided to start walking. I started power walking 3 weeks ago for 20 min. a day, I’m up to 40 - 45 mins...

Re: Quiver on or off when hunting?

I always used a top mount and really liked it. Now I just carry my quiver in the cargo pocket on the leg of my hunting pants then hook to the tree once in my stand.
For some reason with the quiver on my leg it gives me a secure feeling that I know and can see where my arrows are.

Re: Are we nuts?

Every time a new bow comes along that’s fast my eyes still light up. Not being able to handle or afford them any more I’m left to just admire them. I don’t think the need for speed will ever leave me.... why just yesterday I had the truck up to nearly 50 mph but I got nervous and had to back it off....

Now that I use the c2 with my Micro... I realize I should have started using it a long time ago.

Re: Excalibur Micro 355 opinions

I really like my 355, it’s great to hunt with, has a nice balance and feels good to shoulder. It is very accurate and poi never moves, and I find it rather quiet. I don’t even mind the tack zone scope either. As far as the trigger goes I don’t know a good one from a bad one. I did have an issue with...

Re: I think I may I think I might

i have a 355 and really love hunting with it, it’s a treat to carry and sweet when in the tree stand. I am disappointed with the speeds I’m getting out of it, my two friends bought 335’s and they are both faster than mine and easier to draw. To do over again I think I would save the 300$ in price di...

Re: knife sharpener

I have been sharpening knives for a long time.
I only use the work sharp now.

It’s a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it.... works great.
There was a thread here a year or so ago and I think Newbie told about his and a lot of ppl bought them.
