Re: Are you doing enough to fight the gun grab?

I donated to Canadian shooting sport. Even though my hunting days are behind me I personally have had enough over my fifty +years of hunting to see our guns, soon to be bows( I put dollars on that) be confiscated by a Liberal govt. Won’t go on about that, it will only raise my B.P. Every one needs t...

Re: Slick Tricks

sorry I forgot to mention that I do re sharpen the blades each year. If then are dinged or chipped I replace the blade. The sharper the blade the better the "blow through" Last year I thought I had missed as I saw my arrow in the field off to my left "binking away" only to realiz...

Re: Slick Tricks

I have shot two deer in the last two years with my slick trick 100 gr aluminum arrow and I am going for number three this year with the same arrow and slick trick. each vein has a marker on it with the year and doe or buck. this year is the deciding vein. " excuse the pun". Last year was a...

Re: Looking for - Ontario butcher!

If your are from around Brussels, try some of the hunters in Clinton. They are familiar with home butchers that do a great job. I hang mine in the garage for a day or two depends on the temperature. Ask to go watch. After that you should have a good idea on how to do it yourself. Take time to make s...

Re: Ontario Antlerless Tag Hunters.

Applied for mine on March 1 as well. Mark it on my OFAH calendar when I get it in the fall for next year(2015). Hopefully I will not end up doing any thing really dumb like I did last year the day before bow season. Really hard to shoot a bow with one hand. Any one hear if there are extra bow...

Re: OLDER HUNTERS

I am in my late 60's a Lady never tells her any one her age. Bad back and no cartilage in both knees. If I can't use my 4 wheeler or did not take it to where I was hunting that night I call my lifter (next door neighbour) Guy is stronger than a Clydesdale horse, all he asks is which farm are you at ...

Re: 20 year old Excalibur 165 Exocet still deadly on 14 poi

I bought my vixen in 1990. That is when they were still camo, original when you bought them. Still shoot old 226 arrows with a varizone scope. use 125 gr slick trick and I have shot more deer with my bow than with my shotgun or rifle. every one of my neighbours laughs at a old grey hair lady going o...

Re: OLDER HUNTERS

I qualify as a senior here in ontario. Still hunt but it is not as easy as it used to be. I either haul them out with a plastic ice slider "kids use them for slides" in the snow. Carry block and tackle in truck. Or use cell to call neighbour and ask for a lift. He comes and lifts for me. U...

I received mine in the mail. Get one every year. Guess I will have to learn to go to internet to report as snail mail is going to be a thing of the past.
