When I was a City Police Officer I worked several shootings. The power of the old 45 cant be denied. Out of the 4 or 5 dozen shootings where I was the responding officer all the subjects shot with the grand ole round bought the farm.

I wish Alabama would allow scopes with magification. The red dot is my only alternative or I could continue the peep and pin. Dont get me wrong the factory sights have been very good to me just wanting to try something new. I've shot several of my buddies red dots with the single and multiple stacke...

Nikon Monarch Red Dot Scope?

Anybody have experiance with this red dot scope. I noticed its advertised to have 1 moa as opposed to most other red dots that are 3 to 5 moa. It has a single dot instead of 3 or 4 stacked. I think it should be quite accurate for what it is. Any good or bad reviews out there?

I have one Summit Viper Climbing stand that I've used for several years. I normally pack it in and out after each hunt. I hunt only public land, State Management Areas mostly. Its tough to have to do this all the time but it helps when your mountain bike has a tree stand rack welded to it. 8)

Dogs cant read, and an attempt should be made to reunite out of pocket dogs with their rightful owners. Just my opinion. I never cast any of my coon hounds unless their wearing tracking collars.

I miss being able to deer hunt with hounds like I did in my youth.
Big money made sure that southern tradition came to an end in 95% of bama counties.
