Big mulies

Sumner, any time, but it only the special draw units that produce bucks like mine, the general areas get hit pretty hard by all the Seattle wanna be's, I'll post up another picture tonight of a giant non typical killed on the ranch behind my house.

Terry, I totally agree on the "magic marriage" of components, it just semed odd to me the different weight would shoot the same.

I guess it one of those mysteries that keeps us shooting, I'm headed out the door right now to go throw some more bolts down range, god I love this new toy :D :D

some interesting observations today

I'm shooting my exomax with at total bolt weight of 415 grains- 270shaft +145 field tip. I decided to try a Rage 100 grain pratice tip so this drops my total weight to 370 grains, this set up shoots to the exact same point of impact as the heavier bolt does at 20,30 and 40 yards, to windy today to g...

After the couple off center shots I'm trying to make a real effort to keep my pull up on the rope straight, I think I'll mark the string tomorrow and see if I can pull it off center by cocking it to the right.

Rope cocker question

Do you guys find that when using the rope cocker you can still cock your crossbow a little off center if you don't pull the string back dead center. I had a couple shots today that went right 3-5 inches at 40 yards. The only thing I can see I did wrong was to pull the rope cocker a little to the rig...

next questions from the new guy

First off let me say that I am flat out amazed   how well my new exomax shoots. I was able to finish sighting in out to 50 yards today. My dad who just turned 80 even shot a couple small groups at 40 yards today. I shot numerous 3 shot groups today at 50 yards that were no more than 3 ...

Thanks Dutch, it looks like the winds will be calm today, can't wait to shoot at longer ranges, I'm sure as the distance increases there will be more questions from me.
