Your best bet would be to get with any aircraft safety supply house, and or talk to the Coast Guard search and rescue people. These are the folks that know what works best as they do this for a living.

The funny part about this marinade is the first time I used it, it was on a black bear shoulder for a Thanksgiving dinner for about 40 folks. I didn't get to the party until the battle was half over, I had people asking me where in Alaska did I find such fine beef. Some folks had decided that it had...

Sounds good! That reminds me of a marinade I used many times with great success. I used Wild Turkey, cloves a small amount of dill and half of the green onion and a dash of allspice. Refrigerate for 24 hours, flipping every time you think about it. TYE, you would like this for your black bear meat. ...

Digger: I'm happy to see you finally came to the realization that you can't hope to kill game without a camo x-bow. So, is the Vixen going out on the for sale list? I have a wife that does not know you can't hope to kill without a camo x-bow. Of course neither does the game we hunt know that secret....

TYE: you make darn sure you sight back in after you do the sight change. The easy way to learn to use both eyes is to wear glasses and cover the off eye lens with a piece of masking tape, just enough to block the off eye. One of the things I teach new shooters is to not can't there head down. It eff...

Well lets hope he thought your Dad was a bull, anything else would be terrible to contemplate. You need to teach moose not to do that. A bullet or a bolt is your best teaching aid I know of.

You might want to have a look at the OLYMPUS STYLUS 720SW This camera was chosen because it's water proof and 8 megapixel. It has great reviews on C-NET. I fly fish and wanted a camera I could hold underwater and take a picture of a fish before a release. And yes it does rain here in Alaska a little...

It's not uncommon to have foxes along the Denali Hwy to run up to people looking for a handout. They seem to get vary comfortable around people that keep there movements slow and easy.

Just Google Mr.heater.com. These heaters really kick. I used one in a ice fishing house in 35 below, high winds on a lake one night and melted all the ice off the floor stripped down to skivies and cooked fish on it. And they are cheap. Great pick A.W !

We have a refinery in Fairbanks and it is shipped by rail down south to us. We also have the lowest taxes in the U.S.A. on fuel. Just wonder why it's so high here? the only reason I can come up with is, because they can.
