Well I just made up a dozen 2216 XX75 arrows. 20 inch shaft, Easton 31gr front insert, Easton 8 gr rear flat plastic nock, three blazer vanes that total 18 grs. and 100 gr tip. They weigh right at 400 grs complete with tip. Very accurate and fast. If I figure right I'm getting around 340 fps out of ...

I was 17 at the time which means it was 40 years ago... Three of us were sitting on my dads truck tailgate eating lunch during the Michigan deer season. Across a big marsh a doe ran out of a swamp with a big buck behind her. I was on a rifle team at the time and was shooting almost everyday. Dad sai...

I've never seen a squirrel like that before. I used to shoot dozens of them every year when I was a kid but they were fox, black and grey variations, I did have a snow white (albino) squirrel hop past me while turkey hunting this year, that was cool. You may want to contact your wildlife division bi...

I had almost the exact scenario a few years ago during bow season. One was a high rack 10 with 12-14 inch tines and the other was around a 20-21 inch inside 9. They came into my mock scrape walking together. Awesome sight at 18 yds. Both presented perfect broadside shots. I, for whatever reason bloc...

Very nice. I was showing my wife your pictures and when I got to the third one she says"hey look he has the same ceramic floor that we do" Anyway she's not into arrows and bullets and all that but thought your arrows looked cool also. I agree very cool.

If I recall those Hoyt Top Cut looked a little like the G5 Montec design. A one piece three blade. I found a couple original Bear broadheads in my old archery stash. They are 145 gr. if I recall. Notice I use the phrase "if I recall"a lot. Been at this archery thing since 1964. I have trie...

Yote. Larger more powerful hind end and the wide space between his ears and their size indicates a larger head than a fox.

I love Harbor Freight Tools! I got this deer hauler from them about 4 years ago ($69.99) and it's worth its weight in gold to me. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=2915 http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee206/bstout01/02915-1.gif I just entered "cargo hauler&quo...

Digital Scale

I am starting to build my own crossbow arrows and figured a small digital scale would be helpful. Found one at www.harborfreight.com on sale that works well. It is item #93543. It has a 500 gram capacity but that equals over 1700 grains. It is currently on sale for $9.99 over the net. I picked one u...

Welcome. Back in 1974 shortly after my wife and I were married we stopped by the Bear museum in Grayling Mich. It was only a short distance from Mio, Mich where I spent a lot of time at my parents cottage and still do. Anyway it was the middle of the week and no one was around at the museum. My wife...

:D  Yes Excaliburs are very accurate. I always aim at a different target, unless I remove the first arrow. I was astounded that the bows can shoot so well. I've learned on this forum and from my own tests, Excalibur means accuracy. :D I was removing the arrow after each shot when I was shooti...

Excalibur Accuracy

After obtaining a new Exomax and shooting it in my basement I was impressed with the accuracy at almost 20 yds. Well this weekend my wife and I traveled upnorth to our cottage. There I was able to shoot at longer distances. I set up a paper plate with a black circle in the middle which I traced arou...
