Have there always been big bunches of turkeys in your area Adam? I counted sixty individuals in that second photo and that was a conservative count.

Wow! Awesome pictures, Quickshot. Wild canines, whatever one may think about them, are pretty amazing animals. Most folks aren't aware that the most successful predator in Africa isn't the lion or the cheetah. It's the African Wild Dog. They boast hunting success rates as high as 70% compared to a m...

Mike,

I got lucky last Spring and dropped my first gobbler in more years than I care to count. He was a big, beautiful bird. Probably close to 25 lbs. with a 10" beard. Wow! It was almost like shooting my first one. :D

Have a good evening!

Mr. Bangash sounds like bad, bad news, Shakky. Was he involved with the Newmarket mosque from the beginning or did he come in after the mayor and city council gave their approval? I'm also curious whether Newmarket city ordinance required any public hearings on the issue. If so, did anyone speak in ...

What about shooting a compound bow wearing one? Is it easy to get the bowstring fouled in the material?

This looks like the combined love child of a motorcycle, a snowmobile and a Segway.

I have never seen, much less heard of one of these things before. Are they new to the market or is it just a gimmick?

Hmmm, I just got back into good graces after spending a lot of time in the woods this Fall. I think I'll steer clear of this one. Good luck to the rest of you, though. :D

Hey there, Rage - First, let me say that you posted a great question. I couldn't answer it any better than the members who have already offered some great insight. The only thing I might add is that whenever you're about to get into a debate with one of these anti-folks (anti-gun, anti-hunting, anti...

We had a really good taste of prolonged power outages and interrupted public services when the ice storms blew through our area a few weeks ago. Folks around here were without electricity anywhere from a few hours to 2+ weeks, and that's nothing compared to what people on the Gulf Coast went through...

Good one, R.J. It's interesting how that joke applies equally to liberal M.P.s in Canada's parliament and liberal democrats in the U.S. Congress and Senate. They're making it too easy for us to poke fun at them.

Cheers!

Hi Woody - I have a question about your post that maybe you or Fur & Feathers can answer: Is there an absolute ban on crossbows in New York or can they be used legally during firearms season? It sounds like there's an absolute ban but I wasn't 100% certain. Whether or not crossbows are banned ab...
