The weather is messing with them in SW PA. I've been out a few more times and 75 degree weather and a south wind is not what we should be having here.

I'll be trying again on Tuesday. Colder, light rain, and wind comming out of the nnw. That's way more ideal for my situation.

On the trees that I'm going to use multiple times, I just leave the screw in hangers in the tree. If I'm not sure, when I come down, I take them with me.

I've been thinking about one of those nylon belts with multiple hooks that wrap around the tree.

I didn't realize if you had a lease in Texas that you were restricted as to how many hunters could go on the land. I'm located in south western PA. I have access to a 260 acre farm and the owner wouldn't mind if we hosted a few hunters from texas. PA might be a bit far for some of you to drive to hu...

Good job!!! It will get easier and easier. I remember the frist time I hauled my butt up a tree with a climber... now it's just part of the day. You will enjoy this way more than your ground blind. You get to see so much more.

Camoman, First welcome. You can uncock your crossbow with the rope cocking aid. If it didn't come with your crossbow, you will need one. They show you how to do it on the excalibur video that comes wtih the bow, or I think on their web site. I've never wondered about maximum distance. I think most o...

So I start doing some internet research and all I can find is luxury resorts for $200 a night and up that provide all kinds of services fo...

I grind my own venison and sausage. In response to your question on temp of the meat. Yes, it will help if the meat is cold even partialy frozen will work. You don't want to grind meat that is room temp or warmer.
