You can also double and re-double the numbers and the old 3-4-5 triangle works. 6-8-10.....yields...36+64=100 ...and can double again, and again for those large decks. The angle of trajectory is different than a straight measurement. There are multiple factors involved. The best way to determine wha...

I'd leave Wisconsin quickly. Old man winter doth cometh soon. I can just feel those balmy breezes as they leave the frozen tundra and head your way. Yes sir....run. Florida has some terrible wildlife regulations, but we got things. 8) No need to hide in the cabin down here, no sir. No need to scrape...

I can tell you that the initial cut is important to get right. If you lift the skin as you cut, you can avoid alot of the inards. Also, stop at the rib cage if you wish to have the head mounted, if not, then slice all the way, right through the rib cage to the neck. If you go slightly to one side, t...

Yes- you were absolutely right about the claw release. On the last shot of the first video posted here, you can clearly see the shooters hand reacting to vibrations long before the string ever reached the riser area. I doubt this is from the string riding the rail, so that really only leaves the cla...

It would be nice to see the same with the use of an STS / NGSS. I suspect that the string would whap against it, remain stationary, then wait for the limbs to flex back, and then come away from it, only to strike it again. That stationary phase allows vibrations and energy to be transfered to the ri...

Well....not much bear encounter experience, save one really good one. He breathed in my face while I laid terrified in a hammock. 10 years old, camping in a park. After he left us he went right next door. I ran to Dad, in the camper, and we saw the ranger following him as he made his rounds. But.......

That clunk isn't going to go away. There is alot of force employed when you loose your arrow, and it all comes to an abrubt stop. The sts absorbs at least some of the force, and because it is secured to the riser, which is attached to the stock, you may be noticing an INCREASE in how it feels. I not...

Grizzly said- The COMFORTABLE hunter is the SUCCESSFUL hunter. Focus on that one aspect and you will be both happy and successful. If you fidget, try to conceal that. I have seen big bucks stand at the edge of a thicket and peer out with just their heads. They just stare for a long long time. If I h...

I like mine. I believe it helps me with my accuracy. But.....it is even more important that you manage the brace height, like he said. New myself....but I think that any change in brace height changes the speed of the arrow. For example, a string that resides on the mark closest to the riser is fast...

Don't know about gatorland, but the St Augustine Aligator farm is still doing business. No $1 gators though. I haven't seen those stuffed alligators any more either. I tried to enter the alligator hunt down here. The state notified I had been approved. They sent the message email and it lanquished i...
