Re: Lighted knocks

I use the Lumenoks for the Easton arrows. ECF1 You have to cut a paper shim for them to fit tight enough. That is explained in the directions. I thought i read somewhere that Easton actually makes the Firebolts but i may be mistaken.I shot a buck last year and had no idea where the arrow hit though ...

Re: changing back to standard sights------no scope-------???????

When i got my Vortex, i had planned on using the open sights to save weight but my eyes aren't what they use to be and in certain conditions, the front post would be almost invisible. I painted the post white and that helped alot, especially in low light conditions.I put on a Varizone scope and i'm ...

Re: Best set up for a Vortex?

Firebolts and boltcutters are what i use in my Vortex. With a solid rest at 50 yards, i was hitting a 3" circle with every shot with this combo. The 150 Gr boltcutters are as accurate as any broadhead i've ever shot in my crossbow or compound.I use the Varizone scope and excel strings.

I've heard so many stories such as Mikes. That is why i'm content with hunting out of 10' and 12' ladder stands. I've gotten quite a few deer out of these stands, a few nice ones too. I don't see why anyone feels they need to get 30' off the ground to get a deer! Take care Mike. I wish you the best!!!

I have 2 CVA Kodiaks and use 120 grains of Triple 7 and 295 grain Powerbelts in both and they shoot awesome out to 200 yards! I was at the range today, and a guy had a new Thompson Center "Bone Collector" and he was using those Barnes bullets. He was bitching because the bullets were so ha...

I've been using the 130Gr. Wasp camlocks with various compound bows for over 15 years and haven't found anything that shoots better. Deer shot with them look like like they've been hit with shotgun slugs. When Wasp quit making them, i bought a bunch, mostly on the net. When i bought my Vortex, i tri...
