I also think it was the .257 Ferguson Hot Tamale, which is one mean caliber. My friend was at the local range and a fella was there and he had one of Fergusons custom rifles in the .257. At 100 yards using his loading data and his Hot Tamale rifle he put five shots into one ragged hole at 100. If I ...

I have yet to try the montec out on my fathers exomax, but a I'm going to try them ASAP. My uncle is going to come over and I'm going to string the exomax up. My uncle wants to try them both out and see which one he likes, he's thinking about getting a excalibur. So, I might take a couple of montecs...

Good shooting and nice pig. I'm ready to do some hog hunting this fall, this drought/ heat has the hogs in the rice fields day and night. A few months ago I killed three with my .375 H&H, after seeing about 70 of them, but now the drought and heat has them out of the woods and into the rice!! Ho...

Yes, the pratice tips we're 125 grains along with my montec g5, but the rage we're 100 grain of course. I wish they had made them in the 125 grain also. Here is my target it's a block that used to be around 4 foot tall, but my friend at my local bow/gun shop gives me one when they get a few shot out...

Tried my broadheads out yesterday

I treid my broadheads out with my Phoenix, FFF string and firebolts. The 125 grain Montec g5 we're dead on with my field points, the 100 grain three blade rage we're about 3/4-1" high. Left to right they we're on the money. This was at thirty yards. I think I'm going to have to try a few of the...

Thanks for all of the info. I've been really thinking about ordering a boo string with the served in whiskers. I really can't wait for the deer season to come around these 99-104 degree days been killing me and it's not even August yet!! . I think I'm in the wrong part of the country, because I love...

few questions

I'm shooting a Phoenix with Easton Firebolts using 125 and 100 grain heads. I also have3 the flemish fast flight string. For those who have been shooting the firebolts, how have they been shooting?? I'm trying to stick to 100 and 125 grain heads, because I have a ton of rage 3 blade 100 grain and Mo...

How far was your longest kill shot?

I was a little curious, but how far was your longest kill shot with your crossbow on say a deer, hog, bear or any other game animal? What is your setup??

Finally shot the Phoenix!!

I just got my Phoenix in this eveing at about 2 P.M. I mounted the scope slapped everything together and started shooting after about 10 shots my FFF string seemed to quit stretching. Pretty quiet for a crossbow. I think it quite a bit quiter then my dads exomax and does so with less vibration of co...

I figured they had some good quality people running the show. To have great products and stand behind them 100%. The heat wave has been bad. I've been ready for fall for about a month now!!! They said El Nino is taking effect and could last through the winter of 2010. I figured something was going t...

I always have some good pics before Bow season on the Cuddeback, then they kind of vanish once bow season starts!!!! Once bow season starts here along the middle coast of Texas the bucks will be in the rut. They spread out everywhere!!! We have many does, but sometimes I think there are to many!!!
