Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

Out of 3 mech. I have used buckblasters, spitfires and rage 2blade. I have had more opportunity's to use the rages again verse the other two. Once in while the blades will bend but most of the time the blades are still in good shape. I like to sharpen them with my magnus accusharpe and use them as a...

Re: any fans of magnus broadheads?

I can't agree more from the above statements. Anything but a lost broad head is replaced for free that is enough said on warranty. I took my first deer with my traditional vertical recurve with the 2 blade Magnus buzzcut 125. And my 7yr old daughter killed her first turkey with the smaller cut magnu...

Re: What grain should I use

I use my four factory arrows for follow up shots if I drop a deer with a spine hit. I always keep one in the quiver. The weight difference between arrows only changes the point of impact a little not much. If you have the extra money you can buy some zombies or executioners off Danny Miller he sells...

Re: What grain should I use

With a powerful bow like that I would shoot a stiff arrow with 110 brass inserts and 125 broadhead. That would give you 235gr. up front for good foc. Example arrows would be zombies, executioners, and gold tip lazer 4s. My friend has the 405 and uses lazer 4s with 125 head and gets great flight. I h...

Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

Spitfires are another great choice. As I stated earlier I have harvested 70 deer with mechanical broadheads. First 15 with buckblasters next 25 with spitfires and the last 30 with rages. I know a lot members do not like rages but they are my favorite head especially the new crossbow-x because of the...

Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

There should have been a small colored piece of paper in the package that shows you how to line the blades up with the shock collar. This paper is very small and most probably throw it away without noticing. If you lined up the blades incorrectly and the opened prematurely it makes sense you missed ...

Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

Fergie thanks for the testing and info on the rage. I am currently using the crossbow-x 125. I have taken 25 deer with regular rage, 1 with rage extreme, and last year I took 4 with the new crossbow-x 125. I believe some hunters are using the new shock collar which is on the new rage heads incorrect...

Re: Matrix 330

The 330 is my favorite Excalibur I sold the rest. With Dan Miller being only a state away and great customer service/repairs I decided I didn't need a back up.

Re: which broad heads for Axiom

I shoot 125gr spitfire's out of mine...bad medicine!! Great choice georgiaboy I harvested 25 deer with 125 spitfires. I like rages retention system a little better. But definitely top 2 choices. I only use rage now. If I would ever try fixed it would be magnus buzzcut for sure. I have used ...

Re: Bull Head strikes again

Congrats on that monster bird! The bullhead strikes again. I did not have any luck to use my bullheads; however, my 7 yr. old daughter shot a Jake this year with a 100 grain bullhead on April 25th. that made my season. Like you it took the head completely off. After losing birds and only killing a f...
