Hi,

Would feed bags stuffed with plastic strips, the stretch type from fertilizer bags and such, work to stop CB arrows? I've had this type target stop field tip arrows from ~60# compound bows with no problems.

No , I got 6 yesterday and they where aluminum...

Thanks, that's what I thought from what I've been picking up on this site.

So because of the aluminum inserts you need to go with the 150 gr. heads, correct?

awshucks,

Real nice pics. I could not see that in the Excalibur web sight photos.

I see the adjustment for elevation but not for L/R, how is that accomplished?

Much has to do with your eye sight. Open sights are difficult to use if you're 45 years of age or older. The scope and the dot sight correct for that. bstout, Great response! Just the type of input I was hoping for. I hadn't thought of that. I'll be getting the CB for my 65th birthday next month an...

Hi Wes,

Thanks for your response. I don't think that. Just trying, perhaps vainly, to juice it up a little.

Open, Scope or Dot? Which doesn't belong and why?

[Asking in the negative with the hopes of getting more usefull (so long as it doesn't get personal) information and perhaps a little more lively debate.] So... In your humble opinion, for a huntig CB, which sight doesn't belong and why? Also, would someone please describe the open sight that you get...

i use it for 3D but i think it might be a bit noisy for hunting, the bolts rattle around a fair bit. Don't think that would be the case with my BH hip quiver. Quiver holds six arrows fanned out and held in place with rubber "clips". Haven't measured but clips are positioned maybe 6-8 inch...

Belt/Hip Quiver for CB Hunting?

Any of you folks use a belt/hip quiver to carry your bolts/arrows (what is the proper term anyways?)? I use one when I go out with my Bob Lee LB and wondering if it is a viable option for carrying CB arrows. I've used bow quivers for several other bows but ALWAYS remove them once posted. When I get ...

Not a Guru but please allow me this input. Based on what you've said/asked you need not have read past the Dutchhunter's post. Don't see how you can refute the logic of getting the same CB for a BU. I've made the same decision with respect to carry guns so I'm walking the talk.
