Re: recurve
I know a bunch of guys with custom recurves that have spoken highly of the Samick Rage recurve. Costing something like 120-130 bucks new and running something like 30-60 lbs in 5 lbs increments it'd make a very good starter bow. I shoot every thing from primitive to compound and cross bow and am thi...

Re: Good Luck To All Turkey Hunters
Sorry you can't get out for spring turkey. I really do enjoy the spring turkey hunt, it is so very relaxing to me. Can only hunt until noon so have the afternoon to work on the property getting ready for fall deer season. I don't even care if I score or not, half the time I'm reading in the blind or...

Re: Phoenix or Exocet 200
The Exocet 200 comes with a Deer Magnet, the Phoenix does not.
If God intended man/woman to have thumb hole stocks then Walnut trees would grow with holes through the trunk.
Joking aside, though I'm very happy with my Exocet 200 the Phoenix would do just fine for deer hunting.

Re: New member introduction.
Hi Chris, welcome to the forum! About a year and a half ago I made a bid on a brand new Exocet 200 off eBay. I was lucky and won the bid for an almost unbelievable low low price. Since that time I've done business with Danny Miller and can agree with the previous poster regarding his recommendation....

S5 Install - No Serving Mention
Hi, [How important is it to re-serve, with a longer serving, in respect to using the S5?] Just installed the S5 on my Exocet 200. The instructions make no mention of re-serving for the purpose of having the serving extend beyond the rubber bumpers. Also, if you take a close look at the 2nd photo on ...

Re: Now I am purplexed on which crossbow brand
Pros and cons. Pluses and minuses. My two brothers and the 3-4 other hunting buds that shoot CBs all have chosen compound CBs and ride the hell out of me for choosing and much preferring my Exocet 200. Maybe I just shoot an Excalibur to tick them off?

Re: Varizone or Lumizone
I've got the VariZone and am very happy with this particular scope. Really enjoy it for 3D and target practice but it is more than I need for hunting whitetail (PA & CT). The peep sight that comes with the bow or maybe a single dot red dot scope would, in my opinion, work just fine.

Re: Gold Tip Laser IV arrows (Kinetic)
I dont take bad shots but I had a buck last year change course on me while squeezing the trigger...... Which resulted in a shoulder shot with like 4-6" of penetration. This was a 400 grain arrow. After that I made my mind up to go with the heavier arrow with cut on contact heads and if that ha...

Re: Gold Tip Laser IV arrows (Kinetic)
What, are you guys getting ready for an African big game hunt? I could drop one of your arrows from my tree stand and get a complete pass through on a whitetail deer.

Re: How do you cock your bow?
I can cock my Exocet 200 with one hand tied behind my back and only my little toe on the stirrup but not wanting others around me to feel they're wimps I'll use my rope cocker in their presence. :) http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRAKPHrKESXRow0Jhx7pLe8JHSoBLvwYY1t57tT7SA-DGd1Nn8T7A Bill K.

Re: Quieting the bow
I’m anxiously awaiting the availability of Excalibur’s “STS” like product. Isn’t an “STS” a something you can put on a crossbow that can quiet it down without any loss of speed? Also, here are my xbow LimbSavers mounted elsewhere because they kept flying off the limbs. Don’t know if they made the bo...
