Re: Easton Firebolt Inserts

I had to go to a bow shop to get my brass inserts. The inserts are 110 grain fitted on a firebolt shaft. I do have 2" blazers and the flight of the arrow with a 180 grain snuffer is second to none. The beauty of this setup is ( arrow weight 539 grain), super high kinetic energy shot out of my E...

Re: S5=Less noise

I don't know guys ! Correct me if I am wrong. But, the whiskers that you put on your string is just the same as adding the same amount of weight to your arrow. Both will slow down the string / arrow speed. I first ran into this problem while shooting a compound bow. I was shooting a bow that shot 33...

Re: Rutting

I saw four bucks tending a small doe Dec 28. They were out in the firld sparring with each other and whenever the doe moved to another spot, they all followed. The fawn produced by this doe will be awfully small when the season opener comes !

Re: coyote bounty for all of Ontario

Look guys ! An overabundance of coyotes is a problem. I have been an avid deer hunter for 33 years and when the deer hunting season ends each year, I swing over to coyote hunting. I have logged over a million hours hunting these things on foot and feel pretty qualified making a few statements. First...

Re: everyone please read..

Accidents do happen ! One of my good buddies had his left thumb up above the rail. The string hit his thumb. The Exomax turned his thumb purple in about two seconds. He could feel his heart beating in his thumb for three days. The most painful days he has ever had ! Outch !

Re: Be careful out there

This may be a silly question but, here it goes. How do you safely put up a tree stand before you have something to tie on to ? Once you are up in your tree stand it is easy, just tie off. The initial ascention in my eyes is the most dangerous aspect of putting up a tree stand.

Re: Whats wrong with this buck

The "PETA" people got a hold of this guy and gave him a vasectomy. Only problem, he did not lay on the couch for three days like the doctor told him. Let this be a warning to all of you guys that are thinking of getting this exact procedure !

Re: IBEX BROADHEAD QUESTION

If you do try and use mechanical broadheads, be very careful in which ones you use. The Exomax is a very powerful crossbow and it will open many different types of mechanicals upon trigger release. The G-force will stretch those rubber bands !

Re: coyote hunting

Watch out for that 270 cal. It will richochet for a really long distance. It will also blow your ear drums out. I shot one for many years and it sure put them down fast and put the biggest holes in them that you have ever seen. As far as a happy median, I use a 243 cal. It's a flat shooting bullet, ...

2 Inch blazers - flashlight ?

I can not remember where I read the post about locating a lost crossbow bolt by using a certain type of flashlight that lights up the blazers. Where can you get one of these flashlights ?

If it is a mechanical head that you are using, it could be deploying before it reaches its target. Use two elastics instead of one.
