Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
Time will tell about the direction of the bows, but maybe when Equinox or Vortex changes their will be more questioning. Not much to question. The Axiom SMF has been on the market for a year now and they're selling like hotcakes. That market place, both retailers and consumers, were demanding a qua...

Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
Alot of careful planning and study would go into there decission and who are we to question them. We have every right to question them as a consumer of their product. Competition should also produce a product that is better quality, not one that is less expensive to produce to increase profits. Tim...

Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
Probably a good portion of the market actually prefer the traditional stock. I know I do! You are probably correct here, but I think the sales are probably good for both 175 pound bows. My rant was geared more about cheapening up the ibex rail more than which model got cheapened. I don't think eith...

Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
The Ibex is the "economy" bow in the Excal line up so any economy features such as the SMF are going to be found on this model. Absolutley ridiculous statement. All Excalibur bows (Aluminum rail) are built the same. The difference is the rail length, which increases the poundage. You do r...

Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
Agreed with your comments about competing in a tough economy, but their are more US states that have recently opened up xbow hunting opportunities than Excalibur has ever seen in it's 30 year history. They are selling more bows today than they ever have. Business is good for them.

Re: Has the IBEX been replaced?
I truly believe Excal has made a huge mistake here in dropping arguably the best bow they had in their lineup. I would have dropped the Phoenix instead and kept the thumbhole stock Ibex. Oh well, I"m glad I have mine. I will inform my friend to buy now if he wants Aluminum rail. I understand th...

Has the IBEX been replaced?
I haven't been on the site for a while, so excuse my ignorance. Buddy of mine wants an Ibex like mine so I was doing a little checking and all I see is the SMF Ibex model? Am I missing something? Please tell me Excal didn't drop the original Ibex.

Re: Rage for Crossbow
I have had great luck with slick tricks, but these orange Rage heads have my full attention. I will try them for sure.

Re: Scopes
I use the Lumizone on my Ibex and like it alright. I now see that Nikon is making a dedicated crossbow scope (non-illuminated) and I am very interested in that.

Nikon 3x32 crossbow scope
I know its not illuminated, but is anyone running this scope on their bows? If so how do you like it? Also considering the Vortex scope because it is illuminated.
Thanks

Wow, I have never seen these before. I will certainly give them a shot.

I like the looks of this one too, but not sure if it will clear the foot stirrup in the crossbow.gerald strine wrote:Check out the Guillotine looks good just take the head rite off that way they most likely will not run far.
I might just use the same slick tricks that I use during deer hunting.
