VAP Arrows - Anyone Shoot One?
Haven't seen anything on these new arrows which I guess were introduced at the ATA 2012 show. They're made by Victory Archery, and called the VAP VooDoo arrows for crossbows. The unique thing about them is they have a swell point in the middle of the arrow which causes the arrow to contact the cross...

Re: How Much....
Ooops, my bad. Yes, I meant rail and not riser. How much would an Equinox rail be, and would it fit into a Vortex stock?vixenmaster wrote:R u talking about a rail instead of a Riser ?PA_DeerHunter wrote:...for an Equinox riser? And will it fit into a Vortex stock?
Thinking of doing some fiddling.

Extra Set of Limbs?
How much would it cost for a replacement set of limbs, if I were going away on a long hunting trip and wanted a back up set just in case?

Re: .357 Airgun
That stock looks a lot like the Y25 stock :D :D :D That stock is straight from the factory. I've been thinking of sending my Excalibur to Dave G., who makes custom stocks for the Rapid guns, and others. I think he could make something spectacular. http://davegcustomstocks.com/rapidmainpage.html

Re: .357 Airgun
I would recommend that you go to Joe Brancato's site. He is a top notch guy who puts together some really awesome packages for tanks and hoses. His microbore hoses and glycerin filled guages are top of the line. He also sells a guppy bottle that will fill that AirArms of yours about 13 times. And if...

Re: .357 Airgun
Thanks E! Yep, I also have an AirArms 410 ERB in .22 and love that gun too. Also have a Daystate Huntsman in .22, but the Rapid is my favorite! A 31 grain .25 caliber pellet puts some serious smack on just about everything it hits. And 100 yard shots are amazing with the JSB Kings (25.4 grains)...ta...

Re: .357 Airgun
Big bore airguns are the new rage in sport shooting. I have a .25 caliber Rapid 12, made by the English company Theoben. I can shoot 31 grain pellets at 980 fps, but typically shoot them at 920 fps for better accuracy. I get 60 ft. lbs. of energy with 940 fps. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg19...

Re: different limbs
measure length from end of rail at rear of bow to the notch where riser sits on both bows. Length of rail from back end to notch is 18.75 inches, but draw length is exactly 15.5" I have a few rails here I'll measure length in am Are both FFF's grey and black or is one or the other green and bl...

Re: different limbs
I don't think the difference from the factory limbs would vary by as much as 12%, Unless one bow was locked up in a severe heat situation or something. To compare two bows, they must be measured through the "same chrono". Ive already seen over 16FPS difference in chrono reading from diffe...

Re: different limbs
Would bow #1 have a straight riser and bow #2 have a foward riser, both having 15.5 inch rails? A factory fluke perhaps? Nope, both have forward risers. The difference in speed/energy between bows of the same model has got to be attributed to a difference in the stiffness of each bow's limbs...

Re: different limbs
"I've measured the rail on my bow. It's a 15.5" draw length, as expected of a 200 lb. draw weight. I think I will call Danny and see if he can sell me an extra stiff pair of limbs, if such exist ." They don't. A few lbs maybe, but you are headed down the wrong road . Not sure a "...

Well I could, but $125 for a new pair of limbs is a lot cheaper than a $900 Equinox!

Re: different limbs
Give Danny a call, he'll explain the process to you. I believe you'll find there's much less variation than you think. If you do so and ask about the 12% diff in two 200# models, the 1st thing he will tell you is to measure the rails. BTDT, my Phoenix turned into an Ecet before my eyes, lol. I've m...

Re: different limbs
All Excal limbs should be close to the same strength, but I'm sure there are small variations. I thought the same thing until I saw the variances in speeds recorded by various posters here. One guy's 200 lb. limbs sends an Excalibur Firebolt over the chrono at 304 fps., while another's shoots the s...
