I keep one set up during the gun hunt for my father...mid eighties. He hunts as spirit and heart(literally) moves him, and can atv very close to set-up. Fortunately he is past the age of itchi feet...my sons working on THAT learning curve...:) I'm pleased to see the option remain for a life long hun...

I had the unique pleasure of answering my door one evening to two officers over a car breakdown, left on roadside till morning. It is very unnerving to have an officer standing offside with a hand on his gun. Why.? Because I am a registered gun owner. Is this why the police love the registry.?

Well its a week and a wakeup for this part of ontario. Stand is ready and mast crop is good here. Bow sighted, and fyi Sumner, have given up thunderheads for stricknines. I go this evening to tidy camp and move in supplies.

I use one. Biggest issue I find is lack of low light ability, cuts about 15mins off legal time to my mind. As to distance, I dont worry, IF you know the bow, ballistics are in your head, just as with a rifle. Take the time to shoot your ranges The quick sight target is a bonus with red-dot, but I DO...

One Shot has a good point re illumination. I love my red dot, but in low light conditions it is darker than normal vision, sooo... something to consider.

Just a suggestion re. pan rust out. I picked up a small cast iron tray that fit smoker, has served me well for yrs. Breasts look yummy! But then again most usually do to me.
