it has been my experience a liver shot deer won't go far before it beds down. just don't push it for a couple of hrs and you will find it dead in its bed.

it's Sat. am, 34 deg. clear skies after 2 days of torential rains and I HAVE TO WORK :!: the bright side is I only work 2 days a week and I get to hunt while most people are at work :P :P

have always used cat whiskers, never seen a reason to change. a few yeas ago I bought 2lbs of the rubber they use to make bass jigs, paid $2 for it and I figure I have a lifetime supply of cat whiskers

previously I had posted about inconsistent broadhead flight and that I had tried helical feathers with good results. using the advice of you fine folks on this forum I fletched some arrows with 2" blazers vanes. OUTSTANDING ! I would have never guessed that such an itty bitty vane could perform...

:?: oh ye great and all knowing hunters, how many of you use the moon guide and hunt by it or do you think it is bunk. I've been watching it closely this year but the weather changes have really played havoc with it. so I've just been going when I get the chance. :?: :?:

thanks for the replies, the feathers have done the trick, and the clearance in the channel is good. shot in the wind today and results were excellent. was just trying to make what I have work so I can spend more time hunting. I've only had this bow for 1 week but now I fell confident with the set up

my current set up is an older Horton [sorry guys it's all I got right now] 20" 2216, 5" vanes, 100grn muzzy heads. one time it groups good and the next time it's like I have an entirely different point of impact. with several shots it always seems there is one way off. was shooting the oth...

I can get shafts,inserts and fletching locally, but can't find any nocks for crossbow bolts. what's a good usa mail order source.
