Re: Bear !!!!!!
Better do your math again on bear population increases. -Sows have their first cub at 4 years old -Average litter is less than 2 cubs after that -The sow only breeds every other year. Sure, they will increase population with time in a favorable situation, but not even close to what deer can do. Per...

There are less people hunting bears now and it's too easy to blame it on the cancellation of the spring bear hunt etc. But one of the side effects of no spring bear hunt...

Re: broadhead/bolt combo to stay away from..
Why doesn't anyone use the Excalibur 150 grain bolt cutters?

Re: Excalibur Satification???
I am extremely pleased with my vortex, and happy that I can't comment on their customer service or warranty claim process. But from everything I have read, I am impressed and hope that when Bill and Cathy pass on the torch that the new owners and decision makers continue to deliver the same.

Re: To hay or not to hay??
Deer won't touch a bale of hay until there is nothing else for them to eat (snow on the ground). Put out a bag of apples and watch them disappear fast.

This is the response I got from the marketing guy in late July
"Hi,
Sorry for the slow reply, I just got back from a 2 week vacation. We are planning on coming out with our own silencing system but I don't have a release date yet, its still in the testing phase."
