as well as the hand crank for cocking, excal makes a rope cocking aid which provides 2:1 leverage. You only need to be able to pull 87.5 pounds to cock a 175 pound bow. This device also lets you do all the pulling with one arm. Not sure how "trashed" your arm is, but this might work for yo...

I talked to 4 excal dealers before buying my phoenix this fall. All four strongly recommended against buying a lumizone because of problems with it and the high return rate.
