What do you mean? I assumes it's a xbow term that arrows are referred to as bolts...

Ok, again... I am new to this. I take it the Thunderbolt and/or Powerbolt is neither of the bolts I mentioned above? Or are they the same as the Firebolt??? Thanks!

New to Xbow. Started with Excal Firebolts. Seem to shoot just fine... 3 front inserts have came out, now fixed.

I have someone really pushing the Gold Tip bolts...

Not sure whether to stick with Firebolts or shoot Gold Tips.

Ok, I finally did it. After a a year of research or more, I bought my first crossbow... an Excalibur Exocet 200. The best part....... Michigan just opened the entire State to crossbow hunting on Friday. I am going to sight it in today and get ready for archery season, very excited!

Ok, thanks for all the replys. I am going to take all of the advice. I am going to go shoot the Equinox and the vortex a few time each and buy the one that feels the best, not letting speed be the determination.

I expected everyone to push the 225 lb. Equinox at 350 fps, why not buy the highest speed you can get right? Well, to my surprise ...

Ok, so the 225 lbs. bow will wear out the serving faster. I assume this can be replaced? Any idea how much this cost? Is this a reason to not buy the 350 fps fast bow? There must be some advantage to the higher speed, can't you take longer shots and have more energy? Is the 200 lbs. 330 fps bow real...

This is all really good info. Although I am surprised, I expected everyone to push the 350 fps, fastest bow you can get by EC. I am just getting into this and I don't know what you mean by the "serving" will last longer... What is the serving? Is this a part that needs replaced over time? ...
