Re: O/T Snow Camo
I hunt on the ground and prefer hunkering down in a snow bank with a large white terry cloth bath robe for camo . . it will fit over top of what ever you are wearing to keep warm (in my case a goose down parka) and the bath robe is ultra quiet. I then use a white sheet to make a blind with my snow s...

and I thought last fall was slow
It sounds like this fall's deer hunt will be even slower :( Talking to a butcher at the gun shop yesterday, he normally butchers 120-150 deer over the 3 month bow and 2- 1 week shotgun seasons. Last fall he only did 69 deer, of which only 2 where fawns. Everyone at the gun shop was pretty much in ag...

Re: fletching idea ?????
20 years ago I used to shoot the feather fetched 2117's until I heard how much noise they make screaming into the target. The cut hollow feather fibers where like blowing across a case of open pop bottle tops.
Feathers always out shot the plastic . . better arrow stabilization. .my guess

Re: O/T Who makes a toasty warm parka?
This is what you need to wear if you are going to be out in cold conditions. http://www.canada-goose.com/142pr_expedition_parka_.htm Great for still hunting, I wear one of these parka's under a very large  white terry cloth bath robe and disappear into a snow bank. Have used mine down as low as...

Flemish Dyna Flight String Question
http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/Czy_Horse/DSCN0552-01.jpg Though I would try a Flemish Dyna Flight String, have not used one before Put new string on last night, it seamed to take a lot of twisting to get close to the right brace height, left bow cocked over night, reset brace height. It wa...

I miss the wooden stock like on the Wolverine but I can find nothing else to dislike about the Exocet 200. Honestly, with money being tight, I went with the Exocet 200 as I thought it was 2 much money for the extra 15 fps to go with the Exomax, when I knew a Vixen would do pass a through on deer. I ...
