Re: Mailing question
Just be careful by declaring as gift or low value. If it ever gets lost, then your insured value will be low too. But do make sure it is sent USPS and not a courier.

Re: Happy Valentine's Weekend!
Hope this reminds all of you guys to remember ..... I started a new tradition this year .... buy flowers a few days early to make sure I don't forget on the big day ..... we'll see, but I'll probably be expected to do something special on Sunday too! Actually, I have it pretty good ..... The key here .....
Don't EVER reply to the spammers ad!!!!! They can tell every time you answer and know that people are reading their ad and will continue posting even more!

Re: No venisen
Opposite here ....
Venison and any wild game here dissappears almost as fast as chocolate. Fresh fish goes faster than chocolate (with the exception of the carp my son insisted on trying ).

Re: Converting them over one at a time.
I have never bothered trying another manufacturer ..... my trusted (gun) hunting buddies directed me towards an Excalibur .... and since I consistently hit inside a 4" circle from 25 yards the first time I picked one up, I'm not even inclined to try anything else. I love my Phoenix!

Re: At what point is a bow "too fast"?
The current law indicates that anything 500 fps or more requires firearm registration. I don't believe the government will revise that if a few crossbows exceed that level. For instance .... air guns can be bought without an FAC if their speed is lower than 500 fps, but you require an FAC if they ex...

Re: Cross Border shipping
It really depends on who is dealing with the shipping. If the US company sends via UPS or other courier you will really get dinged for SPAM! and handling fees. If is is sent USPS it is hit or miss. You will have to pay Canadian taxes on the value. You may also get hit with a lower brokerage fee. I o...

cefc/ohep manuals wanted in KW area
My 12 year old is planning on taking the hunting and firearms courses in March and would like to study ahead of time. Shooters Choice does not sell them and The Gun Shop is sold out.
If anyone has a recent version of these manuals that they are willing to sell, please let me know.
thanks

Ontario hunters course in KW area
My son is turning 12 next week and is really eager to take the CFSC & OHEC.
I searched for courses online (OFAH website) and the closest exams listed are at least an hour away.
Does anyone know if there are any courses offered in the Kitchener/Waterloo area in the next few months?
thanks
