A good friend of mine swears about how well "tinks" smoke sticks work. Another brand is "deer sense". Ive used them during the rut this year and had no success at all. Anyone out here have any success or failures using them?

...absolutely love this gun!...had mine now for 4 yrs. I also shoot the 20 ga. and use the Lightfield hybrid EXP sabots. trigger is smooth and my groups are 2" @ 100 yds. Have a 3X10 scope mounted on her also.

i agree with what was said in the above posts. I also have studied this a lot. Depending on temperature, the speed of sound moves about 1100 ft per second...about 3x as fast as any bow out there. A difference of 50 or so ft per second is not going to make that much of a difference. Your arrow/bolt w...

...im paying 4.50 for a 40 lb bag right from the farm!...its 6 or 7 bucks at the local walmart or agway store. if you really want to treat em good...try dumping some molasses on it!....itll bring them in from a distance!

..I am too convinced that we should never "over hunt" one stand. I usually have 2 stands at each piece of property i hunt and rotate where i hunt as much as possible!...I have one property that is only 9 acres and i have 4 stands on it alone!
