looking for deer feeding opinions

Hi all, Coming off my first year of hunting was wonderful. With all the help from this forum, and from other very helpful hunters along the way, I've managed to get a deer (doe) and a turkey (jake) in my first year of hunting. Thanks everyone! Now my question to all of you would be, when do you star...

YAY! second year hunting, second year with a Doe tag. WMU 65, some pretty fierce competition there.

Bagged my first dear last year, this time, hopefully I'll have a chance to take a shot at a bigger one!

Re: How Do You Transport Your Excalibur?

Secret, I've got the case. It's very sturdy, but mine did not come with holes that would allow it to be locked up. It might be because I ordered mine directly from the factory because there are clear spots where the holes should be but no holes are there...yet. I'll be drilling them myself, which is...

Sausage making in Ottawa

After seeing some pics on here about making home made sausages, I dug out my Little Chief smoker. I've made my first batch of homemade sausage last weekend using the pre-fab kit from Smokehouse products...and I'm hooked!! Problem is that I don't much like the size of sausage it makes (too big!). Doe...

Re: Carbon arrows left a bad taste.

oh, and to add more, when I pulled the inserts out, I was a lil surprised at how little glue was used by the factory... the inserts have 3 to 4 grooves on them, and on average, only 1 had glue in it and it did not even go all the way around!

Re: Carbon arrows left a bad taste.

I had the same problem. After I increased the value of my Rinehart 18-1 by leaving a broadhead into it, I decided that this will never happened again. So I pulled apart every loose insert and re-glued them. On a dozen arrows it more than 3/4 arrows needed both sides done! (did both knocks because th...

Re: Excalibur Hard Case

I've got one and I don't regret it. Yes it's big, yes it's clunky, but protecting a investment as good as an Excalibur CB was worth it to me. As for the price, I ordered directly from the manufacturer and my price after taxes and shipping was lower than 180$. I won't say the price here in case it wa...

Re: hunting land in eastern Ontario

Thanks for the tip Boo.
Took a look today and didn't find anything that seemed good for my picky standards.
I'll be keeping an eye out on that site for sure.

If anybody has any other information to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

hunting land in eastern Ontario

Hi all, hoping to get some experienced advice here. I'm a young hunter in my early twenties and I am looking to purchase a hunting property with a friend of mine. I've been looking on and off for a few months now, and I just can't find any decent hunting properties in WMU 65. So my question is: Wher...

I remember this game from a while back, but we used to play this one in computer class. Warning: it's the "bloody" version.

Re: Excalibur Hard Case (with pictures)

Turtleman, Mine is a thumbhole stock (2009 Vortex), so yes it does fit. I'll try to get exact dimensions this weekend as well as weight. As for satisfaction, yes, I am quite pleased with it. It is quite big, so definitely need to plan ahead as to where you will store it. It fits everything I need in...

Excalibur Hard Case (with pictures)

About a month ago, I came to this forum asking for advice on where I could find a hard crossbow case that could fit an Excalibur crossbow. The answer came in a very short format. A name, a number, and a tip to speak in french. Thankfully, the french part was not a problem for me, so I gave Sylvie at...

Re: Excalibur Hard Case

Stash,

I'm currently in talks directly with the manufacturer of that case, and am highly considering ordering one.
