Re: Micro Suppressor crossbow upgrades
I switched out my Excalibur arrows for the Executioners for my Micro. They are available in 16.5 inch but the .003 tolerance. Also went with a heavier point 150 gn which brings arrow weight up to 420 gn. Accuracy is much better. Before I could only get about 2 inch groups at 20 yards with the lighte...

Re: Why did you buy an X-bow?
Longer hunting seasons and not having to compete with gun hunters who far outnumber bow hunters here in Ontario. The silence of the bow. People hear (in Canada) gun fire and call police. While that has never happened to me I know of others who have had the police descend upon them while duck hunting.

Re: Nikon bolt for Micro 335
Yep. I put a Nikon Bolt on my Micro 335. Love it. Clearer optics. 20 yard and 30 yard reticle are bang on. The 3rd reticle is spot on at about 45 yards. Don't ask why, that's where she hits.

Re: Micro vs Matrix
I have both. I found the Matrix wasn't fussy in regards to accuracy with the supplied excal arrows. However I bought a Micro earlier this year and have found the accuracy off a little with the supplied Quill arrows. With the help of some people of this forum I have solved the accuracy issue. Last we...

Re: Fellow hunter hypocrites
I know guys like that as well. They're usually the ones who hunt because their buddy hunts and they're not really into hunting. Or they're the guys that put more effort into how much beer to bring on the hunt. I use to hunt with another guy decades ago and things got tense because I was patient and ...

Re: Quill Arrow Accuracy
Hmmm. How susceptible are the quills to a light breeze? It was kinda windy but took the shot when the wind died down.
Maybe I have a bad arrow....I kept using the same one

Quill Arrow Accuracy
I was out this afternoon sighting in my Micro 335 with factory Quill arrows and 150gn field points. Total arrow weight is about 400 grains. From a bench rest, these arrows are not that accurate. I mean they are good enough for hunting but if my memory serves me correctly I read on this forum that th...

Re: crossbow used to kill three in Toronto
How is it that the suspect was able to fire off three arrows (assuming) and kill three people. Plausible??

Re: crossbow used to kill three in Toronto
Here we go again. The Liberals will want some sort of registry now, background checks, permits und papers to possess and purchase. Wait for it. The media will spin it that the crossbow was "legally purchased". Some Liberal will grab a hold of this unfortunate incident and run with it, gran...

Re: Where can I shoot my bow around toronto?
York County Bowmen have a nice facility north of Toronto but I think you need to be a member AND I'm not sure if they allow xbows. Shame, it's a nice place. As for the Science Centre I think it's more political than anything due to the anti gun mentality in Canada. Holding a crossbow like a long gun...

Re: Trouble makers at it again!
I have had many problems with unethical hunters "poaching" on my spots. In my opinion hunting someones spot is unethical. the last one I confronted told me he has every right to hunt where he wants and that I could PI$$ OFF. I told him he would not be getting much hunting done as I was go...

Re: The Fall Bear Camp
Well this years Bear Camp at my place is going to be Aug. 27 to Sept. 4. Since this is my own, it's "no charge" to whoever comes. It's a great gathering of Excal members who want a good Bear Hunt! We have Great food, great Baits, excellent hunting area, and usually perfect weather. This y...

Re: most accurate arrow & broadhead
BEA Zombies, 110 gr insert, Blazers fetched on an Arizona EZ Fletch Bolt, G5 100 gr Striker. A Luminok will work with the above but to match flight add an aluminum rear nock, otherwise stick to a plastic rear nock. There are a lot of variables. Point weight and desire for a faster arrow would chang...
