conservative agenda / long gun registry
The throne speech will be delivered at 3pm today revealing the new govt's agenda. It appears they will be announcing that the long gun registry will not be dealt with until fall "or beyond" whatever that means? First order of business: take the summer off  They also plan to bo...

Re: O/T my daughter got an athletic scholar award for a 3.9
Best O/T post ever . Awesome, just awesome. She sounds like the rare type of kid who can do anything she puts her mind too. No doubt a chip off the old block. We love our softball up north here(we call it fastball though). I played for 10 years and never hit 10 hr. mind you, never had a 3.93 gpa eit...

Re: I'm Gone
I'm lost or am missing something. This guy builds these beautiful pieces of art, gives them away for nothing when they are worth hundreds, and someone has found or contrived a way to be offended by that?
Da Griz, any person who has found fault with you over this is clearly dysfunctional.

28 lb turkey !!! (not mine)
Took 2 co-workers up to 84 to hit some of my top properties yesterday. The landowners had told me ahead of time that the birds had quit gobbling. We called a couple in quiet through the day and one fella can now add wild turkey to his list of things he has missed. Anyway, we stopped into lake ...

Re: c'mon guys
Having real good action in 87 & 84, have one tag filled. 80 has been dead for me - standing water and high hunter #'s are cramping the birds' style. I'm on some good hen activity in 80 and can't get a gobble. Skipping supper and taking the vortex with me tonite just to switch things up. Tomorrow...

unstringing/stringing and POI
If I unstring my crossbow during hunting season then string it again to exactly the same brace height, is it imparitive, not neccesary but good practice, or redundant an not neccesary to take a couple shots to re-confirm POI every time ? thanks.

Re: woooooohooooo!!!!!!!way to go Canada
I am thankful for two reasons, the demise of the long-gun registry and the fact that I do not work in manufacturing. The future of both is now short in this country.

Re: Very Close Call Today
Monday was scary, I wasn't sure if it was the turkey opener or if the circus had come to town. I am DONE hunting around KW for a week or more until some of the weekend warriors have given up. heading up north for the weekend to try to find some birds that aren't all shook up.

Re: All Vortex owners
wicked bow the vortex. I like the heaviest arrows myself. 2219's with 2" blazers and I shoot fixed blade broadheads. A broadside whitetail will barely slow the arrow down from what I've seen. My buddy shot a 6 point w/ same setup last year @ 40 yds and the arrow went far enough into an oak on t...

Re: THE WORD LIBERAL..DOES IT MEAN FREEDOM OR CONTROL?
In Canada Liberal certainly does not mean freedom, however a critical component of any Conservative platform is the passing of moral judgement on others so I would say exactly the same thing there. Unfortunately, right now we live globally in a society where everyone wants to tell everyone else how ...
