My Knife for 50!
http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd378/eckej1/knife.jpg So, my birthday isn't until January, but my family couldn't wait to give me this knife. DaGriz, you do some awesome work. I've always wanted one and never expected to get one. No blood yet. Went rabbit hunting and shot one. Needed a knife t...

Count the teeth and inspect them. Opossums are omnivores so they'll have a canine tooth on each side and sharp teeth throughout. Plus they have the most teeth of any North American mammal, 52. So each quarter of the skull should have 13 teeth. As for deer, they have 5 molars until they are 1.5 years...

Re: Three inches or four? Or six?
Thanks all. Great advice and good collection of knowledge and experience coming from you guys who have "been there/done that". Yeah, it really is confusing, especially when I'm trying to purchase a "do all" type of gun. My wife keeps asking, "why do you need it, what are you...

Three inches or four? Or six?
Anybody out there hunt deer with a revolver? I'm looking at buying a .357 revolver and can't decide on what barrel length. I don't want a 6 inch incase I want to "carry" it. On the other hand, I've found a nice Ruger with a 3 inch barrel (Michigan doesn't have barrel length requirements fo...

Re: Who needs snakes?!
Definitely take it out in the evening when they settle down. I've hit them with a 30 foot shot of wasp spray. Hit it, back away, hit it a few minutes later, repeat. In the morning you shouldn't have too much left. But if so, do it again that evening. The residual affects of the spray lasts a long ti...
