Re: Getting Ready For First Spring Turkey Hunt
I use aftershock archery hypershock or gobbler heads. It's dropped every turkey I've shot in it's tracks. I shot a turkey this fall with a spitfire and worked great too.

Re: Broadheads for Turkey
Aftershock Archery Hypershock or Gobblers twin mech 2.75" cut. I've taken around a dozen birds with them and haven't had a single runner or flyer. Usually levels them on the spot unless they're on a hill...then they tend to roll a few feet. Lol.

Re: Reducing poundage on vixen 2
You could try and get your hands on a flat riser and swap them out. Also cocking by hand has the potential to negatively affect your accuracy. My Vixen was shooting all over the map while hand cocking. Once a rope cocker was used it became a ......."laser". http://i891.photobucket.com/albu...

Boo's correct. Excalibur will not replace them without you forking over some dough first. They will give you a better price on mag tipped replacements than you'll find at any bow shop though.

He's on another Canadian Firearm forum that I am also on. Seems legit with a high positive buyer/seller feedback score.
Not picking sides...just saying.

Re: Long Armed Shooters
I'm 6'6 with ape arms and I actually prefer the feel of the Matrix 355 over the 380. I like the smaller xbows...actually I love them all! I think I will be getting the 355 over the 380 due to it's smaller size.

That's some great shooting. Did you loose any arrows in the process? I loose enough target shooting within 50 yds... Lol.

Re: Excalibur Matrix
From another forum and not my posting! Excalibur will introduce three new models in 2013. The one that has me excited the most is a new 400fps model recurve! Yes RECURVE! The new model will also sport some shorter limbs. I'm also hearing the crossbow will be 30" wide. It is called the Matrix (...

That's a danm fine rifle awshucks. One of the best spring air rifles available, and with a tune it's absolutely beautiful to shoot.awshucks wrote:I used to be an air rifle freak. The best [not fastest] I ever owned was a Weirauch 97 whatever.
I AM an airgun freak.

Congrats. There's nothing like small game hunting with air rifles.
