I always snicker when I hear hunters use the term "food is king" cause out here that dont play.
Here water is king. You guys in the drought area might want to adopt some new hunting techniques if it continues and start scouting water sources and put your cams there.

Re: Can anyone ID this snake?
Here is an easy way to determine if a snake is a milk snake or a corn snake. Put one milk snake and one corn snake in a terrarium together. Leave both together overnight. In the morning there will only be one snake in terrarium. And it will be a lot fatter then when you left it. The one left is the ...

Re: Who else loves hunting in the rain?
Having a higher percentage chance of losing an animal due to having a blood trail wash away just doesn't sit well with me. Agree. And having me wash away as well doesn't sit well with me. We get flash flooding out here like you cant believe. I spent a very long night about two years after I moved o...

I also own and use a BPS i use on dove quail and ducks and have never had a problem or a misfire in over 20 years, the thing is more reliable then using a cattle prod on a mule.

Re: Remington Feeder. Good, Bad Just Ugly?
That style of feeder (bucket & stick) are pretty bad.
Down here if you do not enclose your entire feeder in small square weld wire the critters will chew it to pieces in a week!

Re: Pole barn design
You may want to do a little planning before you settle on a set of prints for a pole barn. It is best to know what features are important to meet your needs before jumping right into a design. Below is a link that should help you make some of those decisions. After you list what needs you have you c...

Re: Heat and white oak acorns
I was talkin to an old rancher today while inspecting the gas lines we have running through his place. This particular piece of property is covered with scrub oaks....we dont have any white oaks out here to arid and dry. I asked him about the acorns or akerns as we call them down here. He told me th...

Never knew such an animal existed. I have seen the names before but didnt know it was a compound. I always thought excaliburs were always recurves. Did they make any other bows under different names?
