Re: Fletching problem

When testing the mechanicals, putting a piece of paper on the target is a good idea. It will show you if the broadhead was open when it hit the target(if you decide to "throw a few live ones"). The paper should look a lot like you shot it with a field tip. If it looks like you hit it with ...

Re: Fletching problem

I have used dental floss to tie the Spitfires shut when target practicing. However, after a while, you will see no need to practice with them. As long as your target tip weighs the same as your broadhead, they will hit the same spot. By the way, I'm jealous . . .I tried for almost two years to get ...

Re: Fletching problem

Looks like a FOC problem I`m pretty sure, I have checked my bolts over again with squaring tool and found very little FOC imbalance in the 2 bolts that works. It looks like just a little imbalance is to much on longer range like 40 and 50 yards, I have 2 bolts of 10 that works pretty good but not go...

Re: Fletching problem

Hi again! I have tested my new easton bolts with 100gr g5 broadhead, I cant get constant hits. Sometimes right in the spot but sometimes to tree inches outside, works fine at 20 feet but not on 30 feet. I have fletched with the ez fletcher right helical fusion 3 inch and it looks like the fletch is ...

Fletching problem become FOC problem

Hi! I just ordered my first fletching jig, arizon ez fletch. I pursed one 4% offset and one right, I have tried both and cant see much difference with my eyes. When I tested at the shooting field the bolt with the right fletch made the same speed as the 4% offset? Can anyone correct me at this, is n...

Re: hard to make a good shoot at 50 yards

I will try to buy some new bolts to try maybe gold tip and see if it helps, I have been shooting since I have been a kid so I don`t think something is wrong with my shooting skills. Shooting rifle is much like shooting crossbow if I`m not wrong. I haven`t mentioned it before but I want to want to sa...

Re: hard to make a good shoot at 50 yards

Jepp I have tested with some off yours advice back in my head and it worked better for me today, no wind. Groups within two inches at 20 and 30 yards. But one thing makes no sense to me, at the start the bolt was a little upp left. I went one down on the sight and one right, one shoot to check and t...

Re: hard to make a good shoot at 50 yards

I used my bed pillow as support both times the only thing I did was to hold a little harder when I squeezed the trigger the second shoot. Try NOT holding so hard. Relax and squeeze. Holding hard usually generates muscle stress and movement(shakes), makes for a poor follow through. Bring the stock f...

Re: hard to make a good shoot at 50 yards

Try rage 125 2 blade, comes with practice head. They fly better than anything I've tried and really put em down fast and leave massive blood trail when hit right. I have wanted to test mecanical broadhead, the only thing I`am worried about is that they destroys meat. Maybe I`m wrong abut that but the...
