Re: Serving coming undone
I would say get it reserved. If it took that few amount of shots to get the serving lose I would say it is due from your string stretching in. I used to run a Archery Pro Shop and do ALOT of target shooting indoor and 3-D. I would always have to end up reserving my center serving after a hundred or ...

Excal Flemish String
I just picked up a new string for my Equinox.(part number #1989) I went to install it and it seem about 1 inch or more longer than my used stretched in factory string. I didnt even bother installing it after i held them side by side. The old string rests a hair inside the high brace height line fart...

Re: Took some well given advice
I hunt in South Eastern PA so most of my spots are small or off of someones yard. The chances of me leaving up w/o me hunting out of it is VERY slim. So hopefully fading won't be an issue. You even leave a hang-on stand up for any period of time it may up and vanish. However the fading to pink seems...

Took some well given advice
I made a post lastweek asking about a Outhouse Blind.I got a few replies. Most advised me to go with a Doghouse over the Outhouse my brother had given me.Well I found what I think is a good deal on ebay.A new Doghouse Blind for $44.99 + shipping for a big $13.00. The only concern I have is itis in th...

Outhouse Blind??
Has anyone tried using the Ameristep Outhouse with a Excalibur? I was really looking for a "smaller" pop up blind. My brother bought a new blind and sent me his Outhouse Blind. He "claims" you can use the stakes to make the blind wider. Ameristep also uses it can be used for cros...

Re: aluminum vs. carbon
Im telling you what I know from working FT in a Archery Pro Shop for about 8yrs. With most of todays compounds you will see anywhere from a 15-30 or more fps increase. Graphite/ Carbon is either 1 of 2 things. Straight or broken. At most you my screw a arrow up getting a hair bent insert causing a w...

Re: Excalibur T-Shirts???
Count me in! A black shirt would be sweet! Back when I ran a Archery shop in my area. I was a walking billboard. Wives "love" that. Just have to stay away from camo shirts. Im just out side of Philadelphia. May get some strange looks going out to diner sporting a camo Excalibur shirt.. I w...

Re: homemade Targets
Now $2 is a deal. Not sure if the pre-painted on circle targets are worth the $10 for my set up. $2 is deff the cheapest we have seen so far. That will be tuff to beat. Stealing inlaws couch cussions may be cheaper but, not in the long run.lol

Re: HANG FROM THE HEAD NOT THE BACK LEG;S
I do all my own butchering and quarting. I find hanging a Buck or Doe by the back legs is much easier (just be sure not to cut a tendon). If you have a mountable Buck you will cause alot of hair damage to the hide by hanging it by the neck. This also makes for a better clean up if you dont bother wi...

Re: homemade Targets
The best thing I have done over the years is, either do the feedbag deal or get a replacement target bag. I found 1 on ebay for like $12 shipped. For filling I use old plastic wrap from warehouse pallets. While working in a warehouse it takes me a day or 2 to fill a large target bag. I have used thi...

Re: Good ole FEDEX
That REALLY sucks. This is always a problem with shipping mounts. Most likely FedEx is going to say "Insuffient Packaging". In most cases gets them out of paying for anything. The 1 I would blame is the shipper. I work in a shipping dept. The packing job wasn't done to well for that damage...

Bolts & FOC
1st I would like to into myself. I'm new to the "Crossbow World". I have been a over avid Archery Hunter/Archery Pro Shop Manager/Sales Rep/3-D shooter for several years. Due to our great finacial world I have since went back to the normal job world throwing out of the loop of things for t...
