Re: people asking bout slick tricks........

All broadheads cut. Be it Slick Tricks,Muzzy,Steel Force Ect Ect.You give a person some Walmart Game Trackers and he makes a kill,to him they are the best things on the market My question is the POI vs field points and groups. That is the reason I'm running a 2 blade Rage.

Re: boltcutter broadheads

I will bet $$$$$ the guys who shoot a fixed broadhead will tell you shoot the Slick Tricks. I have friends that shoot them and will destroy something on almost everyshot if shooting the same spot into a broadhead target at 30yrds.

Myself ,I tried the Bolt Cutters and went to the Rage 2 blade.

Re: Installing STS

Ranger, Did your also have the groved stoppers? Double check your string travel before you send them back.If you are getting a long string travel you may wanna work with them.

Re: Effective Crossbow Yardage

Stick to the same rules as your regular bow. Alot can go wrong from "point A" to "point B". A Deer could take a half a step, Now you went from a "well aimed shot" to a Grassbag. A twig you didn't see grazed a vane. Now the shaft has a mind of it's own. Wind, loss of ene...

Re: New string review.

I shot the new string from Wyvern sat. What a great string. It had VERY low stretch. It stetched all of about 1 string width at most. The end loops were so dahm tight i had trouble getting them apart to get on the limbs. The loops were more than large enough just super tight. I have shot ALOT of str...

Re: awshucks - I have some (bad?) news for you

Hell no ! I would run a couple rods or posts into the ground on the inside to support it. Not like you have to fight to get it back into the carrying case. Make it huntable again. You could write a book about that 1 too. One Last Hunt A loving tail of a man who brought life to a old dying friend for...

Re: Installing STS

My plan was also to wait. After seeing a wax build up on the riser of my Equinox. After adjusteding the brace to the HIGHEST mark and putting a thin coat of string wax on the track close to the riser I was still finding the string (FFF and the new string from Wyvern) was still making enough travel t...

Re: Rocket Miniblaster Broadheads

I have such a LARGE number of deer with Rockets that I wont even list the number. I used to use the Mini Blasters over 10 yrs ago on acc 3-39's the sucky part noyone made 75gr field points thin enough for the 3-39's so I had to have someone throw a larger DIA and weight point on a lathe and bring th...

Re: Installing STS

What it has come down to from what I know.(sometimes that isn't much) The rods that WERE being made can no longer be mfg due to patents on a product that isnt mfg correctly. The rods and stoppers have to be cut. The stoppers that are on the STS i just got this week will be changed to a better stoppe...

Re: Installing STS

I could use them the way they are if I had no problem with my brace height being a 1/4 inch above the highest brace line. Will that kill performance of my bow? Hell to the YES! If you are going to put a product into production and 98 percent of the guys buying it have to alter your design for it to ...

Re: Installing STS

After I cut the rods and the back side of the stoppers, What about cutting the front to get rid of the dahm cut outs? At this point Im somewhat pissed off. I paid 50 some odd dollars for 2 mounting blocks and a bag of crap that don't fit. Thanks Bucks & Ducks or Ducks & Bucks (or whatever th...

Re: Installing STS

Thanks. Was soooo nice of them to put in the pgk what the heck it's for. I ran 1 of the largest Archery Pro shops in my area for 10 yrs and I was deff scratching my head looking at it. The stoppers are so soft I can't see where there would be a problem.

Installing STS

I just got my STS System in the mail today from Wyvern. What I received looks diff from other ones I have seen posted. I know everyone says to cut the rods about 1/8 and Im fine with that. From what I have here Im also going to have to cut the stoppersI guess. I haven't heard of anyone having to do ...
