Re: For those of you waiting for Excal's new STS style syste
Now is this model adjustable? I may have to change my STS system now. They should come on every new model since I haven't found 1 Excal that dosen't hit the riser on the return.

Re: Boltcutter 150gr., let me down :(
We all have or will have failed at retrieving a animal. The funny this is we always put the blame on the broadhead. You can't put the blame on the head unless you have the deer and the head in question. A field tip alone through the ribs will do the job.Lung is lung. It just depends on how much cut ...

Re: Help!! im loosing my mind!!!
Sounds like you are focusing on the deer and not your crosshairs. Maybe even your form. Maybe you are looking for the arrow instead of following through with the shot. It only takes a hair of movement before the bolt is off the rail to miss your mark.

Re: Are you serious?
This is just someones personal opinion of crossbows. I'm dealing with the same thing right now at the Gun and Archery club I belong to, It's a very up scale club, mainly comp pistol and trap shooters. The Archery "chairmen" is a longbow and recurve shooter and has been in archery all of ab...

Re: Pergam25 is SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a member on another forum and also a Mod. We try not to be Nazis with some of the posts that we get through the day. We 1000 % need some appointed Mods here. The spam needs to be handled as well as some of the posts that would make a 3rd grade English Teacher do a face palm. I'm not saying Memb...

Re: Mines Bigger Than Yours!!
Duckhunt you are correct on the IBO specs. As for IBO rating, it's really a bullshit speed that you wont be shooting once your bow is set up. I used to tell customers it's a "Bullshit salesman speed" Once you add nockset a loop or even a tied nock to save some speed. You still have a peep ...

Re: Vixen II missing bolts...help!
The washers are the same design we use on vertical bow limb bolts. Call a local archery shop. Ahhhh just read your last post while typing this but I guess it's info for the next guy down the road.

Go with a Rage. Same POI as your field points. No screwing around resighting in. They will shoot great on all of your set ups.

Re: Trajectory Question Need some quick advice
I have found the only you can do to NOT hit dead on at 20yrds is aim the wrong direction. Once you get out past that 30yrd mark that is where things really make a diff. I use Blazers on my Equinox. On my vertical bow I have always ran a 3 inch vane and was iffy going down to a little Blazer. After t...

Re: Should I put on a STS on my phoenix
It would be a very good upgrade. If you would check your string travel, you may find it is making it's way all the way to the riser. Not god for vibration or your string. The STS will deff stop that problem. So far I have looked at 3 friends Excals and they are ALL slapping the riser.

Re: Trajectory Question Need some quick advice
The biggest prob that I see is the 5 inch Feathers. Feather are like a parachute on the tail of a arrow. At 40 yards you are prob looking at a 4-5 inch or even more drop then you would see with a plastic style vane. Out of the bow they will read a faster fps because of the weight of a feather. They ...

Re: HAPPY ARCHERY EVE PENNSYLVANIA
We had a great opening day. 3 of us hit the woods before daylite. I did find a downfall using a crossbow for the 1st time. I had 6 Doe's come in over my right shoulder at 10 yards and was unable to even get off a shot due to the limbs. One of the other guys with me seen 8 Doe's but didn't get any sh...

Re: Excalibur string stop
Lets look at this from the business end of things. All the new products hit the shows around Nov-Jan. I dont see a company just adding a string stop system part way through 2010 even if it is ready to go. This years sales are coming to a end once the season is under way. Now to add it to the 2011 li...

Re: rangefinder mount
The mount has it's pros and cons like anything else in this sport. I like it for the reason it helps me to remember and carry my range finder to my blind when Im hunting along a field. My range finder mounts above my scope and feel I need a 3rd hand to use the thing sometimes. The other down fall fo...
