I was a member of the NCBA for years and I believe they do try to protect our bowhunting rights, BUT I also believe they need to accept crossbows as archery equiptment of which they are. If they would have done the right thing and included them as archery equiptment they would have alot more members...

Thanks guys! This is my first turkey ever. I just started hunting them last year and after getting one to gobble I GOT HOOKED! It really means alot to me as I did it completely by myself .

Thanks! I took him with a 835. I have not had time to get my new vortex lined up with the bh's yet.

I shot this one yesterday morning. He was around 20 lbs with an 8 1/4" beard and 1" spurs.

Thanks for the posts! I may end up getting some brass inserts, as I know it is plenty fast but was curious. I think I read somewhere that the gold tips would work in the firebolts. I think if I can do this the 100gr heads are easier to find locally and still keep foc good for accuracy.

Vortex speed?
I have a new Vortex with the factory string and firebolts that weigh 416 gr total w/150 grain points. I do not have a chronograph and have just gotten my scope dialed in at 20 and 50 yds. My speed ring to get it hitting dead on at 50 is set dead on the last 0 in the 300 mark, I have a slew of 100 gr...

My 20 inch firebolts weigh 266 without the points. I am shooting the 150 gr points that came with my package for a total of 416gr.
