Re: S5 Dampener
Are they installed correctly on the riser? They have to be mounted on the right side or they will be offset and the string will not hit the center of the pad. Just a thought

Re: Slate Turkey Call Recommendations?
Take a look at the Derby City calls. I recently bought one in the flame maple and it sounds better than anything else that Bass Pro had on their shelfs as a demo.

I shot an eight point last year at 95 yards he mule kicked an ran 40 yards wide ...

First kill with my Vortex
Well after passing several does with fawns and a few small bucks I finally get this mature doe to 30 yards eating acorns. I put a good double lung shot on her and she made it 60 yards before going down, she didn't know I was anywhere around. I will try to post a pic with this that I took from my pho...

Re: Chrono speeds for my Vortex
I did not mean to start a debate about arrow weight but was posting the speeds of the Vortex as a reference for anyone wanting to know the real world speeds I was getting. I refletched with the 2" blazers and it brought my weight down to 407 grs for the total weight. I had to realign my scope b...

Chrono speeds for my Vortex
Well I finally got around to shooting my Vortex thru the chronograph today and much to my surprise it shot 310 w/150gr points 317 w/125gr and 322 w/100grs :D . I was using the firebolt and had a fff string set about 2 string widths above the front rail mark. I weighed the bolt w/150gr point and the ...
