Re: Jaguar Crossbows...
I was watching the product video for that crosscrap...er....crossbow and half way through the video it pans over the arrow and when loaded it appears as though the arrow rests atleast 1/2 an inch infront of the string, is that not going to affect its speed and so called accuracy?

Hunting from a tree stand
How much does hunting from an elevated position, ie a tree stand or tower blind, affect the shot? The big thing for range finders now is this ARC feature. If you are in a stand 10'-15' off the ground, the deer comes in at 20 yrds, should you aim for 20 yrds or should you factor in the height you are...

Re: ACORN RAGE
i'll start by saying that i'm not an expert :) just keep in mind if you are huntin a corn or bean field or a bush with no acorns, acorn rage probably isn't going to work for you. if i'm in a corn field, my bait pile is corn, if i'm in a bush with apple trees, my bait pile is apples. if you put somet...

Re: Visit from the MNR tonight.
I think that sounds like a pretty reasonable encounter myself. Killing time? He's just doing his job, if he wasn't out 'killin time' as some have put it, there would be allot more poaching and dangerous things going on in the field than there already is. I got a roadkill doe in late September, my ne...

Re: Refletching in SW Ontario
Pretty sure there is an archery shop near Wallaceburg G&K Archery or something, there is a guy in Essex with a website Atkins Archery, its where I bought my Excal. You could also pick up a fletching jig pretty cheap and do it yourself, its real easy, I bought a Bohning Jig from Cabelas and it to...

Re: what is this? (pics are heavy)
Did you head out of Hartley Bay? I've been to the french the last few years during the fall to my cousins cottage, we go up for a week of fishing, duck hunting, hiking, pre moose hunt scouting, and cold beverage drinking general fun! I've thankfully never seen any snakes up there, but my cousin saw ...

Re: Excalibur Lumi-Zone Crossbow Scope
The lumizone gathers more light than the verizone, also, if you are hunting something with a dark hide like a moose, bear or even dark feathers like a turkey, having the ability to turn black reticles bright read is a huge plus. When your hearts pounding while you are trying to aim on a bear with th...

Re: 2117 Lighted Flat Nocks
Check out Burt Coyote's website for Lumenoks, there are tonnes of different sizes there, you can only get red for xbow arrows, but they're still cool. I saw blue on the wild channel a few days ago, it looked sweet. I ordered 3 for my firebolts directly from the website, reasonable shipping, pretty f...

The scars eventually go away, but it can take several years. Also, the toxins react to the ultraviolet rays from the sun to make your symptoms worse, just fyi! Its been spotted in Point Pelee apparently.
