Threaded Brass Inserts

Does anyone know if there is a threaded brass insert being manufactured which would weigh anywhere from 75 to 100 gr.to fit an Easton 2213 shaft?

Re: Looking for a tree stand harness

The Rescue 1 CDS is indeed very slick. I can really see the advantage to that one especially with a climbing stand. I was wondering though why the guy in the video didn't simply get back to his climbing stick to get back to the stand? Having yet to fall from any stand, perhaps this would be easier s...

Re: Looking for a tree stand harness

Ditto's on the Hunter Safety System products...my son and I have the Pro Series and my youngest has the Lil' Treestalker... I am very, very pleased with their products...the LifeLine, Quick Disconnect Treestrap, Lineman's Climbing Belt. Everything is top-notch. Would definitely recommend this to any...

Re: Reply to a friend...

Thanks guys...a lot of good stuff there in your replies. He lives out of state and used to come back here to PA and hunt with me in rifle season for a few years. He hasn't been back for several years so it isn't like I have to live here and hunt with him now...just gets under my skin at times. Thank...

Re: CB brackets for an ATV?!?!

I tried my xbow on my Polaris Sportsman 400 with the gun racks that are currently on it from rifle season and it seemed to fit perfectly, but I don't use the quad for bowhunting as I can walk to my stand. I don't know the name of the racks that are on it now, but they are the rubber "Y" sh...

Re: Deer Jerky Help Please

This recipe is a "work in progress". Currently it is a bit to salty and I have been tweaking it trying to get the salt level down. The soy, and Worcestershire sauces are loaded with salt. My next step is to cut back on the soy and Worcestershire and increase the amount of water, and possib...

Re: Deer Jerky Help Please

If you are going to use a dehydrator, you will not need the curing salt. When you smoke meat is when you need the special curing salt. Having meat in the smoker without a supply of oxygen and usually low heat is the perfect environment for botulism. If you bought a jerky making kit with all the ingr...

Re: ladder stands

I have one Big Dog Red Tick II 17.5 ft. ladderstand that I use by myself or with my 8 yr. old son. It's the first ladder that I have ever used, but I am happy with it and bought another which is still in the box. It also has the full floor which I wanted just for safety's sake with my son up there w...

Re: Tracking

When you shoot a deer with an excal, track it over 400 yrds. and don't hang it on the pole there are really only 2 things that could have gone wrong, hit location or broadhead failure. the latter is most certainly a possiblity worth considering in this instance.[/quote] This is why I never have, and...

In my case, I shot a Phoenix and an Ibex and bought the Ibex because I like the thumbhole.
