Re: Thumbhole vs Traditional Stock

Don't hold me to this, as I could be totally off base here but if my memory serves me, I was told somewhere along the line that the thumb-hole stock required a different trigger design than the traditional style and that was part of the reason that thumbholes had a "creepier", not as smoot...

Re: HAPPY ARCHERY EVE PENNSYLVANIA

Yep....1st bowhunt for me in almost 20 years after bowhunting hard for 10 years. First bowhunt for my 16 year old son period. My 8 year old son will be with me in the ladder stand for his first bowhunt as a "mentored youth" in PA. I would love for either of them to get a shot, but I will l...

You sound like a fine young man Tyler. I'm glad to hear the good news and you'll be with your dad soon. Take care of yourself and your dad as I'm sure you will!

Re: 2-blade broadheads

My Zwickey Eskimos shoot great out of my Ibex at targets so far. I will be shooting them this upcoming archery season and expect they will perform just as well on deer as they did coming out of my recurve. We shall see...

Re: TOP SHOT - Long bow and crossbow

I was less than impressed with the marksmanship ability of the people on that show and even more so with the guy having cocking issues with the xbow. My 16 year old son watched me shoot mine a few times and then cocked, loaded and fired several accurate arrows out to 50 yards. They need HUNTERS on t...

Re: Freezer burn.

I've been considering a sealer for years now, and now that I've read this post, the wheels are turning again. Any thoughts on make or model preferences? I don't mind spending money for quality; I just don't want to go overboard though...lol

Re: Glue-on Broadheads

Once again....excellent info...I am using the premium steel broadhead adapters from Three Rivers Archery. They weigh 75 grains and really help my F.O.C. The combination of the tapered inserts and 125 gr. Zwickey's give a screw-in broadhead weight of 200 gr. I will be completing my hunting arrows wit...

Re: Glue-on Broadheads

Very good once again bstout...I should probably not use the Gorilla Glue as I mentioned before; as once it is set there is no re-alignment possible. I have a bunch of that low-heat hot melt glue like you showed in the picture. I always got my b.heads to spin true and then numbered them and then shot...

Re: Glue-on Broadheads

Interesting reply bstout. especially regarding the b.head being left in the animal aspect. I have about a dozen Zwickey's that I removed the paint with back in the winter using acetone and a paint brush. I was waiting to get them mounted on the adapters and tuning them to the arrow before I re-paint...

Glue-on Broadheads

Question...I am using Zwickey 2 blade glue-on broadheads in conjunction with 75 gr. steel tapered screw-in broadhead adapters for using with 2213 aluminum arrows for my Ibex xbow. I have always used Ferrel-Tite hot melt glue when installing broadheads on traditional wood shafts. The problem is when ...

Re: New string material

Boo....since you started out making "straight" strings, and now have moved on to "gay" strings...will you be introducing a line of "bi" strings?...you know...the kind of string that "goes both ways"? then you would have all the bases covered!...lol...just coul...
