I tried this exact thing. It worked...sort of.
If I were to do it again I'd use a metal bucket...cause the bear that wanted my corn ripped and chewed gaping holes into my buckets.
Yup...they work though

Re: show us your hunting kinfe
I stood up in one of my best friends wedding in 1990. This was the gift he gave all the groomsman for standing up. Our names were engraved in the handle. She's seen better days but on a good day she's a bloody mess!!! http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i429/ScottKinder/001.jpg [img http://i1093.ph...

Re: What grain broadhead for Firebolts
OK anyone have experience with the stock firebolt as it comes with the axiom SMF kit with aluminum inserts and x-act mechanicals? I am just worried about the 100gr x-act being a little too light and unstable but would like to have the little extra speed to help outrun the string spook. You have to ...

Re: FORMAT
Rather than having the links to the products at the side it may be better at the top? This way aS you scroll down there is no dead space. While this would make it more attractive to forum users, it would not be good for business. A left nav is always a better option. having a few quick links up top...

I do the same. I take the bow off the riser and put it in a double gun case. Works great...and shoots as true every time.

Re: lets show Excalibur our opinions on spam
One of the best business forums I'm a member of is forums.sitesell.com and they are completely volunteer moderated. The business, Sitesell, picks the moderators and gives them guidelines, they have strict rules and it works. Flaming is practically nil...and put out once it starts. Could be a great o...

Re: Game Cameras, what do you use? do you like it?
I'm using the Tasco 5MP IR , cost me 99$ but is now being sold for 89$ In my opinion, and this is based on 3 of us getting 4 of these things alltogether, it's great value for the money. It has pitfalls, like it has trouble with light compensation, early morning sunrise and at sunset (There a...

Re: stirrup
Could use metal cable instead of rope...doubt you'd be able to break that  Or use a rope that's as strong as steel cable but 1/7th the weight. I've used amsteel from redden marine for hammock suspension. You aren't going to break it. link to amsteel at redden marine Very cool!...

Re: Cold Weather Socks?
REAL wool socks.
Nothing stays warmer than wool.
Plus I throw a couple of those warming pads in there. They stay nice and toasty for about 4 hours...then I switch them out for new ones and can last all afternoon.
