Re: Hey you great people!

Griz, good to see you back. Don't let the jerks get to you! If you have a mind to I think I can find a nice chunk of rose wood or curly maple that would look great on that new blade. P.M. me if you want, the price is right, if it's free it's for me, or in this case you. Good luck and welcome back :D...

Griz I would'nt know you if I saw you on the street, but, from everything I read your a hell of a guy and I'd be proud to be yor friend. Re: Happening in America ??

There's three side's to every story yours mine and the truth. As a retired police officer I'd bet big dollars if the guy had just complied instead of resisting and he and his wife spouting off their rights we would not be reading anything about this. By the wifes own admission he was shooting the bo...

I've had my exocet out when it was so cold I saw two rabbits trying to jump start a beagle and the bow was fine.

Re: I LOST MY BEST FRIEND TODAY

Mike sorry to hear about your loss. I know it's not popular on a manly hunting site like this but a few years back I lost my cat of twenty one years, I thought I was going to cave in. He was like a dog loyal to the end. Time helps :(

Re: o/t looking for info on muzzleloaders

I know I don't write in too much, but about your question on muzzle loaders... I have built them for going on thirty years now. Both flints and percussions and not from kits. They'll hold a group as well as a modern rifle. Haveing said all that I would hunt with is my thompson center triumph. It's a...

thanks for reply to Pass through shots

Thanks so much for the five who helped with this question. It's so good to be a part of this forum, there is so much to be gained. I've killed my share of deer with a rifle but the cross bow has now got me hooked. My wife and I tracked this deer for what seemed like forever and we ended up at a big ...

help with pass through shots

I just don't understand this. Last night I shot a great seven point buck. I"m using a new exocet, 150 gr. bolt cutters on a 2216 alum easton arrow. The bow is sighted in perfect and I know my range. I took the shot at 14 yds from my ladder stand that is 12' high. He was standing broadside with ...

Re: armadillo on a stick!

Gotta tell ya boys I've ate a couple of those tiny little ugly critters in florida years ago and they are as good if not better then the best pork you've ever had.

Re: back quiver

Spike I don't know if you carry a small day pack or not but if you do try what I did it works great. Mine has two pockets low on either side for a water bottle. I got a small short tin can that just fits inside of the pocket, lined it with bit of foam rubber like the kind used on the interlocking fl...

Re: O/T Hunting Boots???

for me the only way to go is irish setters. I get cold feet and got the 10" 1000 grams thinsulate. Even in a blind for hours all I have to wear is a regular pair of sweat socks. Also the gortex is still as dry as a bone. Got to keep the dogs happy and warm

bushnell trail cam

First of all I'd like to thanks everyone who wrote back with a lot of help on my tree stand question. Now, I just turned the big 60 and my wonderful wife bought me the bushnell trail cam. So far only two coons showed up but at least I know it works. I bought 8 rechargable NiMh batteries for it (chea...
