Been in the bush nearly everyday for two weeks checking stands and game cams. Not one scrape or rub yet as of yesterday! I know there are deer in there, as I have seen them and the game cam is going of 2 to 4 times a day on both cameras. Does a mature buck start the rut later, as he is a big one?

If you are using by hand, why not try to build one that can double as a ladder stand. Make in 3, 6 foot sections of stackable ladders. The bottom would be the underside of the platform you stand on, and the wheels stick out the sides. Walk it into the bush put the three sections together stand up st...

The best one I seen was for moose, but it would work for deer scaled down. If you ever seen a pig crate, imagine it turned upside down with the wheels underneath! Some varnished planks on the bottom creating a V. A winch for a boat trailer up front. Winch the deer onto the trailer back down and feet...

First thing to remember when caping out for a mount is the more hide the better. Too many bring in deer cut too short. If you could gut only to the bottom of the rib cage, cut around the anus, but be careful, as the smaller the deer and the bigger the knife will only mean a cut piss bag. tie off the...

Your friend will get far less a slap on the wrist, then you will. You can't lend a gun to someone that is not registered, or you are at risk....

Game Camera's

My brother came home with two motion sensor game cameras, and asked me to set them up this weekend. The only downfall I see so far with them is you can only have the date or the time on the picture.
