shoot the spitfire through a sheet of paper to see if the blades are opening up prematurely. mine were. got some great tips about using dental elastics to keep
them closed.

i'm using 2" helical blazers w/20" laser ii's & brass inserts. i can shoot 85gr. or 100 gr. thunderheads out of my vortex. the accuracy is so good i shake my head and wonder what i did right. i'm not going to change vanes. it would have been nice if that plastic helical jig didn't cost...

I've been shooting spitfires for about 10 years and have never had a problem. I used regular 100gr out of my ibex last year and took four critter's. I like to experiment with different mechanical heads but i alway's find myself coming back to the spitfire's. Most dependable mechanical head ever man...

hello all,
got a question. got an excalibur vortex. when on stand does leaving the bow cocked for hours at a time create a limb fatigue that would cause a low shot, say at 35 yards for example?

considering the purchase of a vortex crossbow. the more bolt shafts, inserts, heads ect. i read about, the more i wonder. is there a general foc rule for setting up a bolt?
