Re: Allen brand broadheads
Tried them and they were crap! Very shoddy construction. 2 of the 3 that I bought broke inside the rinehart on the first shot. The blades kept falling out of the third. In the trash they went. You definitely get what you pay for. The vanes they sell are crap also. They are not worth the risk of fail...

Re: Made my first arrow!
I'm pretty impressed with the EZ-Fletch BTW, honestly didn't think a little plastic jig would do such a nice job! I see why so many of you use it. I've got a bunch of old GT II's I'll experiment with to get a feel for it, especially learning how much glue to use. I didn't use quite enough, had a fe...

Re: NEW GROUND BLIND
Almost 6'5" and tried to get into and out of one once...it was funny to see me :) Did they have to call for an extraction team to get you out? :D . My dad had his blind go off in his suv with hilarious results. Darned fool thought he didn't need the bag it came wound up in. I tried one...

Re: Remove Metal Nocks Without Heat?
Is there any way to remove aluminum nocks without heat? Thanks! not really. Just screw a field point in and just heat the field point.15 to twenty seconds, grab field point with pliers and pull straight out. If still stuck, heat some more and try again. I have done this many times and have never wr...

Canada in the Rough episode disappointment
Watched a CITR episode where he (Beasley) was hunting Vancouver Island black bear with a Matrix crossbow. I was enjoying the show immensely as they walk and stalked a nice bear on a tidal estuary. Something I have done myself with a rifle years back. They stalked to within 45-50 yards and the bear c...

Hiya Russ! Yup, I joined for the same reasons. Family like atmosphere, caring concerned folk who go out of their way to help. What sealed the deal on my beast, was reading Mike's(Vixenmaster) tick toter posts. Using Excal's lightest hunting bow, he has managed to acheive truly remarkable deer counts...

Re: Fusions versus Blazers
2 degree offset with helical seems to stiffin the blazers some what. I've never tried the fusion vanes but will if I find a good deal on them in the future.
